Nissan Altima not blowing air or heat

*Harsh Language Warning
2005 Nissan Altima 3.5L heat and A/C stop blowing at random. So I chase down a relay that turns out to be fine and then find out it's the blower motor resistor that is broken.

Same issue, same solution. Old resistor was failing and had corrosion on it, replaced it with a $15 ebay replacement and it's good as new. Didn't even need to remove the glove box. Thank you!

Thanks a lot man! You really saved me, the dealer told me to to replace the whole Blower Assembly as they don’t sell the resistor as a separate part, so I had to purchase it alone online. God bless you.

If the blower motor keeps going out, check the voltage to the blower. If it’s over 12 volts replace the HVAC controls.

I have a 2009 altima, when i drive the car above 100 km/h or activate the cruise control switch, the ac blower starts dying out, while this problem does not happen when i drive at low speed. Could it be the blower relay issue?

Did you realize after making this video that none of the glove compartment had to be removed to take the relay out? But It did have to be removed to to change the cabin filter.

At 3:04 I showed that I was going to look at the blower motor and then found the resistor underneath it. I didn't know it was there until I start checking the motor itself.

All you have todo to change the cabin filter out is cut a hole in the dash and pray the airbag don’t blow.🧠

Hey for anyone trying to find an almera heater resistor it’s in the drivers side up behind the clutch pedal on the left. Took me about 20 videos and different articles before I found I guy who knew so just putting it out there too .

The relay is shown in the beginning of my video and is located under the driverside dash behind the fuse panel. The blower motor resistor is in my video at 5:24

I have 2013 Altima that was making the clicking sound. Turned the control all the way up and now it’s not blowing any air at all. Think it would be the resistor or the fan motor locked up?

Brad Laney clicking makes me think the blower is the problem. Yes I agree with you.

My 2013 Altima blower motor stopped working today, worked yesterday. No clicking sounds were heard. Think I'll check resistor first. Is that a dealer item only does anybody know?

Does the 2015 have a resistor? I can't find any part or info on it anywhere. Every single store I search on and off line the resistor doesn't exist.

2W6003 worked for me, though the part number he pulled out from his was 2W6005.

So, my blow motor is going out and I hit the side of the fuse box area on the driver's side. Well, blow motor came on and AC started working, but damn RPM & Speedometer gage stopped working now! I'm over this damn car! What the heck did I do? Loosen the VSS or fuse wire or something? Does anyone know what this could be? I'm wanting to fix this issue, so I can sell this car. I've put so much money into it and not spending another dime

I'm having a problem with my 2013 Altima s my climate control shut off on its own shutting all the lights off on the Av control panel no air comes out

That sounds like a fuse to me or a relay.

I also have a 2007 Altima . But there is no resistor on my model, the resistor is include in the fan motor

The problem I’m having is it started to blow cold air after 10 minutes of being on. I think it’s the relay. Can anyone tell me how to know the difference if it’s the relay or the fan blower ?

Check your freon level with a canister from autozone
