🥶 no heating boiler banging baxi solo🥶
Customer called to say they weren’t getting any heating and the boiler was making banging noise, when I arrived I saw an old baxi solo sat on the wall and they were worried this would mean they needed a new boiler…
Turned heating on on the programmer and roomstat and the boiler fired so this rules out any controls or Y plan valve being at fault, after a couple minutes the boiler sounds like someone put pebbles in a washing machine and the boiler turns off…
This is how I diagnosed and repaired this rather than replaced it…
