Does it matter one way or another. I have extremely good fakes and the genuine article and the invoices to prove it. But, as the fakes are made in the same country as the real stuff, even I have been known to pick out the wrong one.

Too long to reply here - but look up Horse Guards and you will get the history from 1600s on.

The King’s Life Guard is guarding the entrance to Horse Guards Parade on Whitehall. It has a long history from the reign of Henry VIII to the present and the greater area is home to the British Royal, Military and the Political establishment. There are a number of sites online that have comprehensive information on Horse Guards Parade and the King’s Life Guards. Hope this helps.

The horses are well looked after and they are on duty for only one hour. They are trained and well used to being on guard duty.

They have hardware in their mouth that's none to comfortable, and they fight its discomfort by tossing head, and trying to dislodge the bit with their tongue. If they were busy doing something like walking trotting marching they wouldnt be doing it as much.

Actually she seemed to ignore his pointing to go back, appeared not to listen to him and then tried to walk around him where he had to physically stop her. Maybe she wasn't trying to be disrespectful, perhaps she is just dense.

@@franc9111 if you look behind the gate you will see her making her way through from the Parade ground, following the correct route behind the white lines, arriving at the front gate just as PC Jobsworth decides she should not complete the final couple of metres to be on her way. Not necessary at all.

​@@jackiegamble5108 bro she didnt really do any of that. she looked distracted. was trying to just pass through. probably wasnt aware of the rules. the police stops her abrupty(as he should, im not arguing that) she tries to move past him, not because shes trying to break the law but i think when someone tries to stop you from walking your natural response is to get passed them. she has like a 10 second back and forth with the policeman where it looks likes shes asking questios more then argueing, and then she moves to one side. the whole thing was very shorty. Lol no she didnt. she literally talked to the cop for like 10 seconds. then she started nodding, and moved to the side. its not that bad, tourist or not that would be most peoples response if you dont know the rules and police officer is telling you you cant leave an area, you would hesitate and ask questions. @@cypherknot

She shouldn't have been there. When the guard changes, members of the public (including tourists) are asked to stay behind the white lines in the courtyard.

Animals have been used in the military fir centuries. They are trained, well cared for and given short duties on the gate. They are members of a team and respected, except by some tourists who think it’s Disney.

@@danoyse8233 These horses are bred for this particular job. They are able to carry the weight. They are well cared for and the only problem they have is with the tourists mauling their faces. Some show their objections by moving away or biting! Remember::Ears back + curled lips + teeth bared = I am going to bite you.

@@danoyse8233 If you think this is animal abuse, then go tell the RSPCA and they will tell you that these horses are very well cared for and trained to do their job. They stand for one hour only.

Have you ever tried to " force " a 17 hand Irish draught horse to do something he doesn't want to do ? I'll wait ! If you are so concerned about animal abuse go and look for those poor horses left neglected in fields , little food , water , shelter , no veterinary care when they are sick left to die in pain . These Household Cavalry horses are the lucky ones they receive the very best of care . Educate yourself before commenting on something you know nothing about .
