In this video we benchmark the GeForce RTX 4070 Super in the highly anticipated No Rest For The Wicked. We'll be testing at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K with all presets, as well as with the game's built-in resolution scale setting.
No Rest For The Wicked made some headlines earlier this week when it's system requirements released, as it stated that to achieve 60 fps at 1080p you'd need a 3070 Ti. We put the RTX 4070 Super to the test here to see how well it holds up in a seemingly very demanding game.

while not great I was expecting worse being early access hopefully they can clean performance up and it will be a non issue on where the game stands cheers MPR

Yeah man, agree 100% here. It's not great, but judging from the spec sheet I wasnt expecting even 60 fps on the 4070 Super at 1440p. Got around 50 FPS native at 4K balanced, and it's much better than I thought. Can still do with quite a bit of work, but I am fully with you on this. They put out a Steam announcement a few hours after it released reassuring people they will definitely work on performance.

It's not a bad looking game by any means, but the performance doesn't match the visuals. Hopefully they'll drastically improve the optimization before release, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it.

Yeah, agreed 100%. I have seen the devs post a lot on Twitter pledging their support to improve performance, but by exactly how much I dont know.

hey man how u doin?i recently found out that high performance windows powerplan introduces stuttering in some games(like cs2,farcry6,dota2)while temp is fine,what could be the cause?its a i713700k paired with rtx 4080.

Hmm...I would assume it might cause less stuttering as the clock speeds are always running at their highest frequencies. I have no idea, will give it a test my side too. Maybe it messes with the scheduler and the e-cores get more load, will test it here. But check the load on the e-cores with and without on your end.

Graphics for the game is awesome but they need some performance check and some optimization for it to run smoother . I mean I have 3080 TI and hit around 155 FPS with full graphics on 1440P but still playing for an hour the frame start to drop down to 55 fps for entering Sacrament 😅 could be the loading problem that hits the Frame rate.

Yeah, agreed. It looks quite good indeed, just needs quite a bit of performance optimization. Seen a few patches come out already, so my hopes are quite high.

i have 3080 zotac 10gb + 7600x i got 70-120 fps avg very where in game (town Drop like crazy ) i think it is bug

17th May 2024, New Patch in next few days, DLSS/FSR and CPU/RAM tweaks are coming.. 👍 Ive never been that good as Soulslike games but this one hits different.. about 50 hours of testing so far. Traversal stutters are still there and I think it loves low latency high speed RAM,,.but Latency Prioritized,.. My 10900K fixed clock 5Ghz allcore and 4x8GB 4133C16 tops out around 90-130fps, so I set an 80fps cap, it holds 99% of the time escept for those traversal stutters. Ive seen more powerful builds do worse so I think RAM latency plays a major part until more optimization comes. Best Quality vs Quality preset hard to tell but a nice gain, recommend Quality over Best for decent frame gain when not CPU/RAM bound.

I suck at Souls games, through and through! But the way this plays does pique my interest indeed. Will definitely hop back on with the new patch. And agreed, Quality is a much better choice than Best Quality. It's quite a difference in the performance for very little difference in visual fidelity. To my eyes anyway.

I saw, and eagerly awaiting the patch. Though, is it doing anything graphically for PCs? I saw the PC patch notes and it was very minimal, unless that was along with the graphical next-gen update. Really hope it's not just for consoles.

Yeah indeed, and the graphics presets are named the same as Enshrouded, but there you can change individual settings too.

Saw a few posts on Twitter on AMD GPUs and it runs about as you would expect from what I can see. But outlets testing 10+ GPUs would give us a better idea.

Its early access...runs rubbish on every GPU, even a $2000 4090 drops into the 40s. Performance tests of early access games are irrelevant.

As I said, I mentioned twice that it is early access and performance will improve, but if you want to jump in now this is what you can expect. How is that irrelevant?

@@Mostly_Positive_Reviews I'm not talking in regards to you showing how the game is running. My response is to people thinking performance will be better on certain brand GPUs. Its early access for a reason, and nobody should expect great/smooth performance from a early access game no matter the GPU. Early access games are there to help fund the development of the game, as long as the game can run to a decent standard, performance optimisation is the last thing developers look to enhance. So performance tests is 100% irrelevant on early access games.

Also taking enemy density into account it should run way better, agreed. Diablo with RT runs better than this with 7693 monsters on screen too! This game does have some good looking scenes, but nothing that justifies the performance. But it's early access and not a full release, so I believe it will be fixed. That said, you basically pay to alpha test a game, and it should be the other way around 🤣
