I think i have this issue but not sure had a mechanic drop my transmission for a flex plate replacement drove it after wards for a couple weeks than speedometer and stalling happend so im not sure

You should add "not shifting gear" to the title.. I just had my transmission rebuilt installed myself couldn't figure out where the 2 plugs that go into that plastic connector go untill this video then i realized the plastic connector was missing. No speedo not shifting out of first

Thank you I have any more problems I will come back and that was very informative and don't know how I can screw it up now I'm not sure that I have but I was wondering about that because I took that case in and out by myself am 60 yrs old & broke a rib so, I may have done that cuz it doesn't want to shift out of first and speedometer won't work & then got a service transmission which right I will try that !! thank you again.💪🍀🙏🕊🤔😏

In my transmission theres not that 3rd sensor on the passenger side but there is a hole there in the same place you showed but the sensor i put in on the other side wong go into it

I’m having the same problem but with a manual transmission. Plugged the harness back in after removing the trans but I have no speedometer or back up light. Both worked before the repair (replaced clutch master cylinder) I’ve determined the back up light switch is no good and ordered one but any ideas on the speed sensor? I just changed it hoping that was the issue but still no speedometer.

Sounds like something is plugged in wrong. Try to pull up a wire diagram on this vehicle and match up wire colors. Go back over you work and see if any of the connectors can be plugged up differently. This is how we solved our issue. Good luck.

excellent video I would like to know if is the same for the 2001 silverado 1500HD 4X4 I missing the harness the come from the transmission speed sensor to the transfer case speed sensor I would like to the the colors of the cables

You most likely would have to Google a wiring diagram for the transfer case and or transmission on a vehicle

Thank you I think that is what I did wrong I just switched the transmission and it doesn't seem to want to shift right I appreciate your help

hey put another transfer case in my 2001 chevy silverado 1500. abs light is on and speedometer does not work at all have any ideas ?

Check electrical connections to t-case with wire diagram for that vehicle

Would this thing allow the transmission to shift into 1stand 2nd but not third of 4th gear ?

Probably a long shot here on you answering, do you know what the connector would be called that connects those 2 sensors? I accidentally threw mine away when doing R&R thinking I wouldn’t need it

It is a connector added on the 4x4 versions. It may be called a y connector for speed sensors on t-case. Try to get breakdown from dealer or maybe Google, Good luck
