29:47 Deans kill is possibly my favourite in Slasher films. Chainsaw through his back, lifted up, and then thrown like he was nothing. I love how Remake Leatherface is just a brutal monster with seemingly super strength. I watched this film with my dad a lot growing up, as far as prequels go, I think this one is pretty good. Sold cast of characters, I'm familiar with 4 actors from other film and TV Shows: Chrissie (Fast and Furious) Eric (White Collar) Bailey (Wedding Crashers) Dean (The OC) I think they all do a great job in this film, Matt Bomer (Eric) especially. The kills and gore are awesome. And I like how they made so many connections to things in the 2003 Remake. Glad you checked it out, haven't seen many people react to it. Very underated film.

I agree, the way he holds Dean’s body up and kinda pauses was so badass and I will always love that!! Remake leatherface is definitely a beast! The kills In this franchise are so good but this one just has an extra layer of fucked-up-ness that I loved! Very underrated and an awesome follow up to the 2003 movie, even if it is a prequel. Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment 🙌

She went back for her friends which is hit or miss in horror. Because abandoning them would have saved her, but we always go back for our friends and sometimes we don't make it out and if we do, what's left of us?

I remember watching this with my friends for the first time being so gagged that they killed off the final girl in the end of the movie. Such a great prequel and just on the level of the 2003 remake. Too bad they didn’t want to continue this timeline it would’ve been so good.
@TheDorkSideTV
@TheDorkSideTV Жыл бұрын
Agreed, this timeline deserved more sequels but they never should’ve cut Leatherface’s arm off in the 2003 movie. They could’ve kept going forward instead of having to focus on the prequel. Chrissie almost made it though, and for that she will always be remembered. RIP

Another great reaction for the books, Cole! Re-watching this one, I think I prefer it better than the 2003. The relationship between the two couples felt genuine. Both Eric and Dean were straight up fighting for their lives. Dean did some damage which I appreciated. And they all seemed to have each others backs a lot. Your reaction when Eric went up against Sheriff Hoyt to give Dean some time, had me cracking up!!! Eric and his beach sized balls. 😂😂

This was for sure my favorite group so far and I am so happy they were able to fight back (even after that insane cow accident) I do prefer the 2006 movie personally, but only because I like that leatherface and the family were already established. And Eric gave zero fucks this whole movie. The fact that he’s willing to go BACK to war just proves he has beach ball sized balls… but I wonder how he would’ve done against leatherface one on one??? Dean got the best death of the whole franchise imo. These two were great remakes and probably my favorites. I really do like the Texas Chainsaw 2013 film aswell. You gotta check that out before the 2022 film. Alexandra Daddario stars in that as the main focus and she is FUCKING BADASS. That's honestly my first TCM movie I seen and that became one of my favorites along with these remakes. The 2022 TCM movie is eh. “So we’re getting all this backstory that he was just this ugly fucking baby.” 💀💀 I’m on time this time! I can see why you preferred the 2003 one over this, but I’m glad you still enjoyed it. I was a little bit biased once I saw Taylor Handley (Dean) on the screen. He played the lead in my favorite Halloween Disney Channel Original called Phantom Of The Megaplex, so I was super pumped to see him in this movie. I also liked the brothers’ dynamic and the whole military side story and how that played into the movie. I knew you’d get to the 2022 version, so I went ahead and watched, and it is a hot mess, but the gore is so well done at least. Can’t wait for Saw! But to comment on one thing you said, everything in Saw connects from movie to movie, and if you only watch 1-4, then skip to 10, it might be super confusing. Actually, I just looked it up, and it said Saw X takes place between 1 and 2, so those are probably required before you watch the new one, but watching the rest will make you more informed. Saw movies like to refer back to itself a lot, and there are usually a lot of connections. I don’t know much about the new film, though, because I’m trying to avoid spoilers, so maybe another commenter who has looked into it more might know. Either way, great video! Already impatiently waiting for the next.

He was charged for one murder although the house was full of bodies He did cut faces off. That was true! They thought he wore make up? No proof They thought this because he stole jewelry!!! The comment saying you should watch this one, then Leatherface and then the 2022 movie in that order doesn't make any sense, as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning and Leatherface (2017) are both prequel movies on how Leatherface became who he is. I think you've already chose the decent movies in this franchise, I wouldn't watch any of the others, as they're very cheap. Leatherface (2017) was OK, but nothing special.

This movie is just unrepentantly nasty. Not scary in the least. There’s even a hint of rape. And they all get away with it. There’s nothing even remotely scary about it, it’s just gross and disgusting. It was so bad and did so poorly at the box office, it made them cancel the sequel to the one before this which may have been actually original because the timeline directly after that has never been explored. Fk everything about this movie. Not a single redeeming quality except for MAYBE another horrifying Leatherface. I walked out in the theater. PS: I forgot the fkng Wilhelm Scream at the end. They may as well have used the Goofy one.

Here's how this an other movie franchises become a huge mess. Non spoilers for any movie or movie franchise ahead an how others managed. To avoid this problem non spoilers for those franchises just names of the franchise an key movie names. First the bad ones Texas Chainsaw Massacre the movie studios basically the ones at the time. When the movies where made an are made only care about if Leather Face is in the movie killing people. They don't care about anything else the storys don't matter. Halloween this is backed up on audio commentaries for John Carpenter's original Halloween movie. By John Carpenter himself Michael Myers was only supposed to be in the first Halloween movie. One an done no more Michael Myers ever again but the movie studio told John Carpenter we the movie studio are making Halloween 2 an its going to be about Michael Myers. Regardless if you work on it or not we are making this movie but remember you are still under contract will us. Halloween 3 season of the Witch on the Shout/ Scream Factory Collector's Edition of Halloween 3 season of the Witch. On the an only on the audio commentary with Tommy Lee Wallace he clearly says. That that movie was written to be completely separate from the Halloween movie franchise with Michael Myers from the start. It was never meant to be a part of any franchise it was meant to be its own separate thing completely. The movie studio people got a script or screenplay called Season of the Witch they read it. They seen it had nothing to do with Michael Myers in any way then they approved it. But they told John Carpenter they would not found a movie called Season of the Witch in any way shape or form. If they wanted the movie studio to found the movie they would have to call it Halloween 3. No Halloween 3 no founding or movie whatsoever so. John Carpenter an Tommy Lee Wallace had no choice but to call it Halloween 3 Season of the Witch. In order to get the movie studio to found the movie the movie studio interfered once again. Then after that the movie studio once again went to John Carpenter we the movie studio are making Halloween 4. We are bringing back Michael Myers then John Carpenter sold his shares in the movie franchise an walked. Away to make movies that didn't involve Michael Myers because the movie studio. Didn't care about anything about the story as long as it had Michael Myers going around killing people. Then if a movie killed off Michael Myers an planned a new story. The movie studio replaced those people an had the new people rewrite the previous movies ending at the start of the new movie. To keep Michael Myers alive an the focus an killing people the storys didn't matter. So these two movie franchises are both messes. Because as I pointed out the movie studios only care about one thing. That is that killer X is in the movie going around killing people. The storys don't matter to the movie studio then if a movie gets rid of or kills of killer X. The movie studio gets new people an haves then rewrite the ending of the. Previous movie in the new one to keep killer X alive or the focus of that movie franchise. This applies to all movie franchises. Now for movie franchise that work non spoilers. Saw the movie studio an the ones that made the movies actual care about the movie franchise. So they make sure that each movie continues the original movies story. A Nightmare on Elm Street every movie other then. Nightmare on Elm Street 2 Freddy's Revenge because that one completely missed the point of the first movie. To the point the movie studio had to get Wes Craven back for the 3rd movie. To correct it an get the Nightmare on Elm Street movies back on track. This is confirmed that the movie studio said that because its in the documentary about the Nightmare on Elm Street movie franchise. But other then that all the other movies 1, 3 an after all stay true to the first movie. They only add to the previous movies they don't change or alter any facts from the previous movies. Basically the movie studio had a new rule after the 2nd movie. It was see the first movie remember these rules when it comes to Freddy Kruegers powers and abilities an when he kills. No deviation will be allowed in your movie an it has to fallow the events exactly from the previous movies. There was some deviations but they whore done by Wes Craven himself an they made perfect sense. Unlike the WTF stuff that makes no sense in Nightmare on Elm Street 2 Freddy's Revenge. But the director of the 2nd movie thought he knew an understood the Freddy Krueger character better. Then any one else even his creator Wes Craven so yea he was a idiot. Then The Purge movies same thing this is what happened in the previous movies. Let's addon to that story without changing anything. This is why an how good movie franchises work. Because the movie studios actually care about the movie franchise. They want it to have solid continuity throughout the entire movie franchise. Then if it goes of track like Nightmare on Elm Street 2 Freddy's Revenge did. They immediately get it back on track an make sure it never happens again. But when all the movie studio cares about is if killer X. Is alive or in the movie an nothing else. Each new writer and director completely does their on thing regardless of what happened. In the previous movies so they basically reinvent everything according to. How they feel it should be or should of been from the start. This is how you end up with the Halloween movie franchise an the Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie Franchise. In the messes that they are because the movie studios didn't care about solid continuity in the movies. A good movie franchises only adds to the previous movies that came before them. They never change or alter any facts or set abilities or powers or anything of any pre-existing character since the beginning. They never subtract anything from the previous movies. Thats how you make a good movie franchises.

@@TheDorkSideTV I do it because because for a while let's just say do to a medical reason. I rely could not do much because it was easily to hurt myself so I started. To really watch an listen to audio commentaries on movies I owned an then look into how movies an TV shows an things are made. On KZfaq a good channel for that is one called Film Courage if you are interested. Then I started to see in comment sections people would go fact. Then say some random bs about the movie I knew it was bs because. Nowhere on the audio commentary or commentaries or on the bonus features did anyone say it. In fact they said the complet opposite of what the commenter said. So I seen more an more that people where spreading lies and misinformation about the movies. So then I started to tell the facts of the movies with where I get the information. Like you always see I state what version like for example the Shout/ Scream Factory version or whatever. Then what bonus features it came from that way people can easily double check my information for themselves. Because I found that people that make up random bs facts about movies don't give. You where they got that information so that's how I counter those people. It also counters people that claim to have an watch an listen to bonus features. On that version of the movie because if they didn't hear it or see it on them them they are lying about it. Then stuff like how a movie franchise should work that comes from. Audio commentaries an bonus features from movies because writers an directors talk about things like that in then from time to time. Along with videos from the KZfaq channel Film Courage because they talk to actual writers and directors an people that work in an around the movie an Television industry. So they know what works an what does not work in movies an Television an things like that. Then I take all this knowledge an pass it on to people that are willing to listen an learn. Because it helps others learn an it helps keep me sane. Because lets just say with everything I went through those couple of years. Let's just say it's probably not good to hear multiple pharipist say it amazing that you're still functional. People would loss it with only half of what you have been through. I have had pharipist actually say that to me so it helps others learn an it keeps me sane.
