Yep. I've been running a QSC GX3 for a few months now. Its 300w x2 @ 8ohms and 425w @ 4ohms. Its just enough power almost wanna move up to the GX5. But yeah all the amps I tried like the Emotiva A300, Behringer A800, and other various stereo receivers were great amps just not enough power. Having plenty of power and dynamic headroom is a noticeable part of an ovall systems fidelity.

@@iowaudioreviews I know right!! Loads of videos on here saying you don't need power the first watt is so important, power is over rated etc etc. Rubbish!! Been into audio for decades. My true wow moment was adding this power amp. It's like I got new speakers and a new CD player.😁😁 I heard that QSC were great Amps I was gonna get a GX5 or even a Crown xls 2502 but my mate let me hear his NORD2 . I use a pretty cheap Xiang Sheng 728 tube preamp (£300) from China with some GE and Mullard valves in it. Sounds wonderful. The NORD2 was pricier than the Crown or the QSC ( £800 new 2 year guarantee 600 watts pc 4ohms or 8 ohms) But I fell in love with its sound and its effortless power. I'd recommend it if you can stretch to its price. Happy hunting 😁

@@sbwlearning1372 Sounds awesome. I've had the QSC PLX and GX amps and personally prefer them fidelity wise over Crowns class D XLS if wieght isn't a concern, your willing to do a cheap easy fan mod, and don't need the built-in DSP. I may have to try tube pre with a QSC. I had a VTV Hypex NC252MP which I really liked. Really showcased how good Class D is getting.

I was a little wary of any international purchases as I knew it was a keeper for me and knew I could get the icepower boards in an amp here in UK and avoid serious postage/ customs costs There are a few European manufacturers doing interesting things at pretty reasonable ( for our crazy hobby!! ) prices. Nord itself offers a few different ones from different ClassD manufactures at different price categories and can also tailor the amps sound in their opamps choices. I would say that your clearly a music/ audio fanatic and you owe it to yourself to experiment with the tube experience!!!!!. I tried a gamble getting the preamp from China and was prepared for it to be a bit shoddy or maybe broken on delivery. But for £250 and delivery it was pretty mind-blowing with some old valves in it driving the NORD2. Its pretty well put together and feels like it would last for years. This sounds like the perfect Combo to my ears the smoothness of the valves and that mighty punch behind it. Plus it's detailed and more present in the room. Pretty sure you can get a douk audio/ nobsound tube preamp one set RCA in one set out to power amp and a volume knob for around £40 and couple of old valves for £7/8 each. Again listening to audio all these years but was a child of the transistor and the microchip. The tube sound even on the ridiculously cheap douk audio preamp was highly addictive and I didn't want to go back to solid state. The audio snobs are seriously missing out on Class D 😁😁

Can't possibly output what they say the power supply doesn't make that much power. Maybe if it was configured differently and was a mono block maybe they could get 250w @ 4ohm. I believe the TPA3255 can be configured as a monoblock. I have not gotten to mess with a whole lot of Bose gear. But yes some of it does very well. I did a professional Bose install in a new high-school auditorium powered by a rack of several Crown CTs amps and Sure preamps if I remember right. It was impressive, loud, clean, powerful. When we were getting it dialed in playing AC/DC on it one of the few times I've been truly impressed.

About to get the BRZ TPA 3255 2.0 version. What do you think about it compared to the A07?

@@-MarkWinston- hello, I've not personally tried the A07 nor know much about that particular unit, but if the A07 uses the same board than I'd suspect it to be fairly similar. They may have Some internal component differences but I doubt anything that would drastically make one Really sound better than the other. At a quick look, it looks like the A07 only has a volume knob where the BRZHIFI has bass, mid, high adjustments but I may be wrong. If thats the case, I'd assume the BRZHIFI could theoretically sound a little better with those controls but I can't Really say.

I'd go with the A07 this amp has an odd response unless you adjust the tone controls. And once ypu touch the tone controls you lose a few db output. If I remeber right I posted measurements on AudioScienceReview under Nobsound 3255.

@@iowaudioreviews so are you saying that the A07 (which obviously has no tone controls) sound better than this with tone controls off? And even though with tone controls adjusted it wont sound as good as the A07? I just read your post on ASR, seems like you have to have the bass and tone controls at at least 3 o'clock to match better amps. But if you have those controls at 3 o'clock, will the volume be the same as when the tone controls are off?

@@-MarkWinston- Its wierd on this Nobsound, once the tone controls are on it losses some volume seems like about 3db. And they have to be on for it to sound right. As you can see when I compared it to my Harman kardon HK3490. The measurements on the A07 are also on ASR and they show it is good out of the box. Unless you really want the physical tone controls I can't recommend this Nobsound anymore. I'd look at the SMSL SA300 or Sabaj A10a or A20a, other great options.

@@iowaudioreviews still waiting for measurements on the DA-9/A20A/AO200 on ASR before i sign on the dotted line. These 3 with dual Merus seem to outperform all those with tpa 3255 easily.
