Excellent summary of what seems to be a very competent machine. Fair play to Kellyco for loaning one of their their flag-ship Nokta Makro metal detectors for trialling, and also to you, for the obvious respect that you have shown them by looking after their property so well. ATB & HH.

Great review and explanation of some of the key features of this machine. When it's in my budget, I'm 99% sure I will be going with the Nokta Makro, so I'm glad you were able to test with it and do some videos on it. I've been sitting here listening to the pros and cons and it was funny that the same ones apply to the Simplex. I remember hunting a spot with lots of EMI and the chatter on the Simplex. But, when you got over a target, there was no mistaking it. Great job, Stephen.

I have the Anfibio Multi but haven't had a chance to try out the Simplex+ yet. I wanted a detector that would help me understand the different parameters of the MD and the Multi does, however, for the price and simplicity, a MD you can tote around, in the car, the Simplex+ seems to be a great machine. I love to "PROSPECT" sights, that is, if no one is around to ask permission, I like to just shoot the property and it would be nice to have a MD that could be used for quick checks. I think Nokta/Makro has sent the industry a wake up call with the Simplex+. Some makers will need to start pricing their detectors by function instead of name. Thanks for your video, I really enjoy my Anfibio set up, 3 search coils, 3 frequencies, Nokta Pinpointer and a customized backpack to bundle and go when I need to.

Interesting! I have the Simplex also but haven’t detected with it much until this past week or so. I am beginning to enjoy the Nokta Makro products more and more.

I agree with you. I think the new Garrett machine that is soon to be released will be a rival to the simplex and better prices. I hope anyway.

That one will do the trick. My buddy Midern Goonie on KZfaq is legally blind and cannot see very well at all. But he can see the numbers on this detector.

Yeah I wish I would have had more time with it. I have learned a few things about depth testing since then, but since the detector was a loaner from Kellyco, I no longer have it.

I like my Anfibio Multi but I would like to see an update that would allow a better cursor on the setting and function markers. This machine has a great VDI display but, if they could black out the selected item or reverse display at that function. It would be much easier to see the settings with a little work on the display. The back-light is amazing. It can be constant or only function when active, great for any low-light environment.

If you have facebook, you should join the Nokta Makro group. The company has reps on there that take notice of suggestions for users and customers and they do make changes from time to time if they are good.

all good? does Nokta amphibious give a lot of interference in airs with high voltage wires? in squares for example. if you have resources to eliminate without losing sensitivity and depth? thank you so much

It can, but it doesn’t hinder it picking up actual targets in the ground. If you freshen the ground balance in those areas as well as scale back the sensitivity, you shouldn’t have a problem with it.
