Holy shit…that exchange about Cosby gave me chills. “We’re all fans of Bill Cosby…right, Barbara?” Norm was calling out her hypocritical bullshit in a way that pierced her very core. It almost felt like the whole segment was for this purpose. He’s basically telling them, “Hey, look how easy I am able to call the most powerful man in the world a scumbag. Anything you’d like to say about Bill Cosby, Barbara, as a respected, powerful, female journalist?” Barbara visibly shrivels up and squeaks, “I like Bill Cosby,” before immediately moving to the next topic. Probably 99% of our gullible population still cling to this concocted narrative, designed to conceal the crime of the century. I'm on the fence about whether Norm is actually alluding to Cosby's rapes - and if so, I bet he thought the rumors were just as untrue as the Bill Clinton murder thing. They weren't really part of the national conversation until Hannibal Buress' famous standup routine, 14 years after this video was made. And Bill Cosby really was a comedy hero of Norm's, as he was of pretty much every standup comedian of his generation. On his podcast with Jerry Seinfeld a few years back, Norm claims the rape charges don't affect his ability to appreciate Cosby's old comedy records.
