Holy shit…that exchange about Cosby gave me chills. “We’re all fans of Bill Cosby…right, Barbara?” Norm was calling out her hypocritical bullshit in a way that pierced her very core. It almost felt like the whole segment was for this purpose. He’s basically telling them, “Hey, look how easy I am able to call the most powerful man in the world a scumbag. Anything you’d like to say about Bill Cosby, Barbara, as a respected, powerful, female journalist?” Barbara visibly shrivels up and squeaks, “I like Bill Cosby,” before immediately moving to the next topic. Fucking savage.

Interestingly, he did murder about 3000 “American” someones, in NYC; and poor Norm had no clue about it... just like the rest of us had no clue. How many people still believe the ridiculous story that they fed us, about hijackers, terrorists, hero's in the air, etc? Probably 99% of our gullible population still cling to this concocted narrative, designed to conceal the crime of the century. I love how Norm insulted The View crew, and accurately insulted the guy who “didn’t inhale”, and how he exposed Cosby, long before his crimes were public knowledge. I'm on the fence about whether Norm is actually alluding to Cosby's rapes - and if so, I bet he thought the rumors were just as untrue as the Bill Clinton murder thing. They weren't really part of the national conversation until Hannibal Buress' famous standup routine, 14 years after this video was made. And Bill Cosby really was a comedy hero of Norm's, as he was of pretty much every standup comedian of his generation. On his podcast with Jerry Seinfeld a few years back, Norm claims the rape charges don't affect his ability to appreciate Cosby's old comedy records.

While the immediate after math of this interview was that Norm was banned from the View for many years, the fact that we are commenting on this over twenty year old video in such large numbers is a testament to the incredible skill Norm had as a comedian. If Norm did this interview straight, nobody would be watching this. We need more people willing to break the rules like Norm did. It is one of the most genuine interviews ever done on the View because Norm refused to be fake and answer mundane questions by the people holding cards to read.
