Last trip before the summer heat. Landed my biggest native brook from this stream.

Not like... it’s a secret! But thanks for not broadcasting the GPS pin! Not to be a know it all.... the stream is actually stocked occasionally.... I’ve caught some ragged truck trout in the past... Keep in mind.... I live here. Nice video

I'd say there's far more wild ones than stocked. i don't doubt a few have been stocked. I've never caught a stocker there. I'm sure a few can recognize this stream. I appreciate people not commenting with any names or locations when they do. personally I like heading up the tribs of this stream.

im just getting into fly fishing, Where are you fishing at here? I have been to jones bridge and bowman/lower pool so far, but too many swimmers, kids playing in the water for me to enjoy it.

I do a lot on Dukes in Smithgall. another thing I like to do it look for a blue line on map in some forest land. grab the camping gear and fly rod. go for a hike and see what's there.

Is this stream easily accessible? I'm taking my dad to North Georgia to fly fish. He gets around good but I would like to fish streams that are accessible, meaning no long hikes, and have native Brookies if that exist in North Ga. Thanks.

There's not much wild or native streams with easy access in GA. Most required a good hike or at the least bush beating for a hundred yards or more. This particular stream used to hold a good population of wild bows and browns but due to its relatively easy access and it being named on social media. It's a shell of what it used to be. But Smith Creek in Unicoi Park is easy access and it DH right now so should be full of nice fish. Bows browns and brooks. Just have to stop at the lodge and sign in and pay the 5 dollar park fee. Hope this is helpful.

@@trouttrailfishin It was helpful! Thanks. Bush beating for a couple hundred yards is doable! Appreciate the info.
