Even after 5 years of one pedal driving experience with my X100D set to the most aggressive regen it could do, I'm *still* having trouble with smoothly doing it in my R1T (dual performance max on 21s), especially at slow speeds like squeezing it into the garage and maneuvering around parking lots. I'm with you on how downright weird it feels to be pushing the go pedal in reverse. Even just to get the R1T to release hold. I have high hopes for the 2023.50 software update helping with that since the release notes talk about "Improved vehicle maneuverability at low speeds." and "Improved throttle control when in Reverse."

Congrata on the Rivian! And the full BEV experience. (I still want creep, just returned yet another rental BEV today in icy conditions and the first thing I did when I oicked it up was to turn off one pedal driving, as letting off the gas had the wheels struggling for grip every time i let go of the gas). Still holding on to my XC60 PHEV at home as charging network in Scotland or northen UK is still not where it needs to be. Hoping Rivians might turn up in Europe soon. Have had a chance to see and experience them in the US already. Lovely vehicles that sadly dont fit on our roads too well😅! Enjoy it! (But looking forward to see how it alters your life, in my experience the BEVs have a very high tendancy to dictate where you go to stop instead of you stop where you want to. You'll still end up stoping as many times, just not where you wanted to, but where the charger was)
