i had high expectations as well!! i love the medium hold gel from the NYM’s curl talk line so when i found out about this gel i RAN to buy it! i’ve only used it once tho so i will have to keep trying it bc i was amazed at the definition it gave me!

I've been using Curl Talk gel on my daughter and I haven't been super satisfied with it, but wasn't sure if the issues were because I was not using it properly (I was sort of). So, thanks for making this video. Was helpful. Will try that gel in the green bottle.

Lol this was a rollercoaster of a video 😂 You had me pulling up the Ulta app and then removing from cart 😂😂😂 I still loved the video though obviously, thank you for the in-depth review! I know negative reviews probably aren’t super fun or lucrative to film, but I think they’re often the most helpful!

I appreciate the honesty! I’m sorry it didn’t work out and was drying. Wash day looked amazing though! And I thought the third day refresh was really pretty

Hi love! I loved your videos and honestly! I’ve been having the same problem but I found that the defining cream doesn’t work very well at leave for me it doesn’t mix well with any product in my opinion. Now I only use the leave in conditioner and the hard hold gel. Unfortunately because it is hard hold it does get drying so I do have to refresh :// but when I refresh with i do it with a tiny bit of leave in and a dash of gel I hope it can help!

Could you do a video about the nym flexible hold gel? I am struggling to get good results of washday but if I use the wash now style later method it works wonderfully. Love your channel❤

OMG GIRL if you like strong hold gels, you definitely need to try out the Snot gel by Creme of Nature. Try to use a pea size for your whole head at first because i have never gotten a cast that strong from any gel. I use 3 peas and that is IT (i use more bc i have high porosity hair and my hair eats products like it's nothing)

It gives me definition as it’s drying and it almost feels like it’s added a moisture layer BUT-BUT when it’s 100% dry I loose all definition and my hair gets sooooooo DRY like so dry I have to wash it and add a mask!

Hi babes!!❤️ I’m using a nylon/boar bristle brush from the brand Goody😊 I mentioned it on my previous video, there’s a link there for this specific one, BUT there’s so many other brushes that look EXACTLY like that one in Ulta or Sally’s. I switched to it because I feel like this brush’s tension actually clumps my hair together even better than my 7-row Denman brush. I’m able to create bigger clumps that I can later on (when it’s all dry) separate and create tons of voluminous and defined waves and curls 😊

@@NemesisMarie I apologize. My brain is all scrambled eggs lately. I watched the whole video and I heard you say it was a Goody Boar & nylon bristle brush. I was on overload when I watched the video because it was the first time I’ve seen you and you’re enthusiasm, sense of humor and aura are off the charts. Thanks for the explanation of why you prefer the Goody brush over the Denman. It was extremely helpful. I appreciate your patience and help.

I literally used this two products last night and i will say out hair is very similar. Let me tell you, i HATE it soooo much! it’s only the first day and i hate how my hair feels. It feels soo sticky and so dry. ughhh i hate it when my hair feels that way. I will be returning the gel tomorrow but will try again the NYM curl cream. Any suggestions on what gel i should get that goes along with this cream? Thank you…I recently discovered your channel and i honestly love your content. ❣️

Agh I’m SO SORRY that you got the same shitty results I got from this damn gel!! My current FAVORITE gel that I’ve paired with all my defining creams is the Supreme Defining Gel from Deva Curl. It’s a strong hold gel but it doesn’t leave that dry/sticky feeling! If you like more of a light hold, my current fave is the one from Rizos Curls 😊❤️

Have you used the NYM flexible hold gel? It says a hold of 3, I really want to try but darent it will dry my hair out! Btw love your videos 😘

Hi babes!! Yes, their flexible hold gel is actually good. It never dried out my hair, the only reason I stopped buying it is cuz I got really into strong hold gels

I’ve had luck with using a curl cream instead of a leave in before the gel 💕

at first I was kind of relieved, that this gel didn't work that well, because its SOO FREAKING EXPENSIVE if you want to get it in germany. but hey, I just looked up the price of the deva curl gel you use and weeeeellll let me tell you I'm sad now that this didn't work 🤧

For a gel? The one from Rizos Curls is so nice and light!! And for a defining cream that’s lightweight, you might like the Curl Fresh one from AG Hair Care
