Nice find. This set really interests me, because I really enjoy the kph30i but they are just way too fragile for my day to day use. I honestly expected the flimsy wires from the ear-cups to be the weak point, but it is the headband that has been the problem - it has snapped twice on each side.

Yeah Koss doesn’t give a rats ass about the awful build of their headphones. They know they have money making products and won’t put the minimal effort into bringing the build of both headphones into the 21st century

if you want clear sound don’t get m1. for 50-60 bucks you can buy much better sounding headphones. very unknown and not made anymore audio technica ar1 with mic for mobile phone that can be bought for cheap are perhaps even better than koss30. comfort wise for sure. to me teenage engineering sound is unacceptable by company producing small synths that get big following… actually due the bad sounding m1 (lack of detail and somewhat colored sound) I won’t even consider any other teenage product…

SMSL Sanskrit Mk2, Topping E30, Zen Dac. You could even use the Monolith USB Dac as it has volume buttons on the side.

I’d probably recommend the ModMic. That way you can find a headphone that is comfortable and sounds good to you without all the shortfalls of dedicated headsets.

Thank you for always chasing for not hyped (but interesting) headphones :-) There are two that I always have in my target : Blue Mix-fi and Blue Ella. Maybe one day we could have a review here !

@@NoThemeReviews the m1 has a plug with mic incorporation and stereo (four pins), and the teenage engineering op-1 has an stereo output (three pins), so What about compatibility? Thanks.

@@hernanvassallo9902 You'll have to ask Teenage Engineering about the compatibility of their products. However, you can use a standard aux cable with the M1.

I still wonder if I should went for koss 30i instead of teenage m1. coz everybody raving about koss sounding so good for its price and small package....koss cost 30. teenage 50

The KPH30i and Porta Pro have a warm sound signature. Some people like that, some don't. And those who do can't stop raving about these headphones. I wouldn't buy into the hype. You may love the sound of the Koss headphones, but that's an entirely subjective experience. Both Koss headphones have serious build and comfort problems. For both, you'll want to buy third party earpads to mitigate the pressure on the ears--and that'll cost you another $12 before shipping and taxes. So, take that into consideration when you're comparing price.

@@NoThemeReviews wellI will use them as they are mainly for phone as I ordered both kph30 and m1. Anyhow I am happy with Superlux 681 EVO. sound little dull/dark in mids but bass and overall soynd is good. I also received beyerdynamic dt770 which has better detail separation but to me they sound thin with high treble. They have bass but don't have body to it so I am sending them back...any chance reviewing Superlux 681EVO? They cost around 30-40 bucks. Their most selling headphones ...not to confuse 681... Which are worth review too with EVO version

Minimal isolation. If it’s not too noisy, they should be fine. But if you want more isolation I’d suggest an over ear closed back design, or the venerable HD25.

There’s no difference in sound among them-just the headband and accessories. Pick any that suits your needs and budget.
