I wouldn't leave that mdf board in the transmission for any length of time. Find some ½ inch phenolic or aluminum plate as quickly as possible. 👍

That mdf is going to be exposed to oil and may swell and fall apart into the transmission.

I would like to see a video of remaking the spacer in aluminum or phenolic. The mdf as proof of concept obviously worked great. Extremely impressed with the ingenuity and $ savings. Thank you for the content I enjoy and learn from them. DB FAM!!!

Something even crazier about clamping the vise grip is there is a spot to receive an Allen key on the bottom of the knurled knob.

Just a thought ...wouldn't changing the fulcrum point also keep the shift knob out of the dash without having to spin the shifter?

Yo I made a bad ass shifter for an las swapped wrangler by chopping it and making a bend in the shifter and welding it together it had the same problem I can send you a pic it was a bad ass hurst shifter
