The 30 compared to a PVS 14 is exactly the video I’m looking for. I’m ok with a little bit of compromise to get that cheaper price, but the 10s performance just isn’t good enough to bother with.

I gotta say though it is quite mind-boggling how very close, if not anywhere different between every NVG 30 and PVS 14. The only disadvantage that a PVS 14 has versus the NVG 30 is that a PVS 14 unfortunately needs a focus cap to see a certain distances whereas the NVG 30 not so much and you don’t really need a focus cap for the NVG 30 fascinatingly amazing

Yes more reviews. Btw NVG 10 will turn on the IR automatically in Pitch Black darkness. The only way to turn it off permanently is to put IR on is to hold and toggle the IR button until it turns off.

I just put up a clip of me trying out the NVG30 last night and I gotta say it’s pretty good for a digital night vision device. Didn’t have to use the IR either. Just relied on the surroundings. Not a bad device at all.

I love my nvg 10, but if i knew the 30 was coming out i would have waited. Would definitely recommend getting the 30. Definition is huge. Also by the look of it it doesnt have the bad default 'zoom' that the 10 has

😂😂 A low light video camera isn’t in the same league as even a Gen 2+ analog unit. Let alone a Gen 3 PVS-14

I have a gen 2 pvs 14 and the nvg30 is getting decent. Its nearly there in many ways. Digital is definitely gonna pass up analog soon. The last 5 years its performance has gotten pretty serious. I paid 1400 for my pvs 14 but im betting the next gen nvg 50 we will call it will definitely be there.

@@luciankristov6436 For the foreseeable future, all these low light action cameras are going to have lag and that is enough to make them unsuitable for defensive of life usage. But I’m sure the same wannabe crowd that thinks steel target plates are legitimate body armor will eat them up, regardless of how much of a joke they are compared to actual nightvision.

What ! No Way to turn IR off on the NVG 10 ??? Look in a mirror ! IR on = 0 (IR Off) IR Off = 940nm auto (Off under daylight) IR on 1, 2, 3 = 850nm.

I just tried it out in my backyard last night and it seems to do alright, but there is some light in the distance from my neighbors. It’s not so bad for what it is.

There isn't much on the market in terms of cheap helmet mountable thermals but we do sell the BTI-10 thermal monocular which would pair well with these devices - goodnitegearshop.com/products/bti-10-thermal-monocular

I want the 30 binoculars and the bti-10, how could I run all that on same bracket? Or could I do nv on one eye and thermal on other? Is that even a good eye-dea?

AliExpress sells us aussies the nvg20/30 just over double of the cost of the nvg10. Worth double? Deliver to Oz lol.

Both are good units but it would really depend on your use case. The NVG30 is going to be much better with no IR lighting and easier to walk around/navigate with due to its wider FOV so for helmet moutning this would be the way to go. For handheld purposes, you might be able to get away with the NVG10, especially if you aren't concerned about running an ir light.

To be honest, the NVG 30 is the big major step up in clarity, but to be majorly honest between the two of them to save the bucks I would go for the NVG 10 because it is still really good for the price even though the NVG 30 has a better clarity is still not bad for the NVG 10 NVG 10 still really good but if I wanna spend the extra couple hundred dollars I would definitely go for the NVG 30s
