How to use iPhone Emergency SOS

iPhone has an shortcut for making emergency calls that even works in countries where you may not know how to reach help. This video shows you how to use external iPhone buttons to automatically launch the SOS feature. You can even use this feature discreetly in your pocket or purse!

what if you bring up the slider menu, then proceed to hold down just the power button? Will that just turn off your phone?

Newer versions of iOS will activate a loud sound during the last 3 seconds of the auto-call countdown.

Hi , i have xs max, i was in a call and i watching a video at the same time i wanted to make a screnshot, it didnt' want to take a screenshot i hold it they give me a screen with emergency sos, i clicked n X, but now i cant use the apps even the botton on and off it dont work what should i do ?

Can you confirm that the feature sends your location data automatically to 911? It does this for my contacts but does it do that to 911, especially if you can't talk to them, or a bandit disconnects the call? Apple support doesn't say this.

Yes this feature can be enabled in settings. At times we have seen that options can vary by telecommunications carrier as well.
