Guy answered the door and pointed the gun at the police. They were literally leaving after they confirmed it was the wrong address. The wife picks up the guys gun. Hence why the police officer said "please don't" before firing at her.

No. I have to say shooting from fear is not a good response sir. And unloading a clip, several, is meant to kill not to defend.
