It has been a while. It is time for another rant!! WotC continues to mess with cards in Alchemy while this profile continues to be built out! Is there no remorse?
That aside, I do understand why they nerfed Crucius, but it is a tale as old as time at this point. Maybe decks are more diverse, but should WotC be allowed to change cards that folks have spent money and or time to acquire? How much is too much?

I get it but the whole point of alchemy is to balance cards instead of ban them. Sadly i wish they had something in place that only altered the alchemy versions not the historic version. Kind of like how Meathook is unchanged in explorer but gutted in Alchemy/historic.

Yes! I need to check out Explorer if meathook is the same... maybe historic anthologies aren't really worth it! As always, thanks for your insight.

@@coffeestout I like historic but i appreciate a closer to paper eternal format. its cool that both have different metas to invest in. If u need a new Historic deck try the Samwise/Cat combo deck. its amazing. @@coffeestout I dislike Alchemy too!! I only play them with starter decks but sometimes can't avoid Alchemy as I have a free to play account. Explorer is the only option to play older standard cards, as Historic includes the crappy Alchemy nonsense.

@@robv5188 Its not too bad. i wouldnt invest in it but playing jump ins and with alchemy starter decks wasn't bad at first. I only reduced my alchemy play once i saw them ban Fable. such a weird decision. so i made explorer decks and thats where im staying.

hell even if they gave you 1 wild card for every 2 you crafted and they nerfed it. I honestly believe they should give everyone wildcards (even if its only one common, uncommon, rare and mythic not even the playset of the similar rarity) when they ban something regardless if you owned the banned card because how many times did you warp a deck design to counter the banned cards? Only to not need those cards after the ban. It should be an I'm sorry we messed up to all the player base for what a couple of cents of ones and zeros too keep the player base happy and plunking down money to play. I only pick up alchemy cards for brawl decks that way if its a bust I only wasted 1 wild card on it.

Imo Rakdos Sacrifice is awesome in Explorer. no bowmasters, no Ring. its wonderful. I run explorer events with that deck and average 4-5 wins easy. Once tournament comparable Pioneer is in MTGA in late 2024 that will be my main format.

I would love to see the deck if you don't mind! You really know your stuff!! I may give Explorer a bit of a try, but would have to say goodbye to Thoughtsieze.

This just proves Alchemy is a money sink and has a severely negative value. Imagine buying a care and immediately the engine blows up. Well, you already purchased it.

Exactly! What they did was banned a card without banning it, lol. And sometimes real money goes into those cards.
