I didn't mind his views, but I am shocked to think we could have another 4 years of this. The Congressional Budget Office is estimating that unemployment will reach 4.4% in the 4th quarter. We have record high homelessness rates- the highest since we started keeping track in 2007. We have a record number of illegal immigrants crossing our border as well as the approx. 30k/mo that the Administration is allowing to fly in via commercial airports. At least they are getting work permits but many people forget that even with a work permit, illegals are more likely to be paid $7.25/hr or less depending on where they work and/or their ability to get a permit. The 6 million net immigrants we gained between 2022 and 2023 are inflationary except when it comes to wages. That's why the Administration is getting creative with student loans and most recently by taking over distressed VA mortgages and holding those loans at 2.5%.

I am sure that there are some and perhaps many Iranians who don't like there government, however millions of Iranians were out on the streets joyful that the government had done those airstrikes on Israel and in a full scale war the vast majority will support their homeland and the government in a war with Israel. Matt Gertken's view that the current leadership is ripe for overthrow and on the brink is therefore pure hyperbole. The economy in Iran by the way is growing at a 7% annualized GDP rate and this widening, growing economy helps the current regime also. Matt's facts are few and his opinions are debatable if not very biased in some ways.

His analysis of the exhange is totally incorrect lmao. Iran forewarned the US 72 hours in advance that an attack was coming, which gave everyone time to prepare. The aim of the attack wasn't an onslaught of the civilian population like some countries actively seek, all the targets were military ones. The cost of one day's air defence just for Israel alone was about $1.3b, which doesn't include all the support defense it received. In defending itself, it also gave up important intel. The attack itself was a response to the Israeli bombing of the Iranian embassy in Damascus. I guess it's cool to just violate international law on the reg now? Anyway by any informed assessment the intent of the Iranian attack wasn't to end Israel, it was to show that the Iron Dome can be overrun with sufficient volume (unless you really believe that 99% were successfully shot down! 😂), not to bring about total destruction. Again, the targets were MILITARY ones, including the air base from which the attack on the EMBASSY was conducted. It's kind of telling when this guest says, "only 1 person was killed", as if the number of casualties were a marker of military success. He's not looking at the big picture or even the details for that matter lmao
