17:15 the card you're thinking of is called "Valor in Akros". It's a white enchantment. 3W which is a functional copy of goldnight commander. I usually use both in my decks.

A card that's even better than Fangren Marauder is Viridian Revel. Each time an artifact is put into an opponents graveyard, you may draw a card.

Yeah I've been seeing that one here and there. That is 1 life per tho correct? 5 life per treasure is a lot of god damn life.

@CommanderReplay Viridian Revel is drawing a card per treasure token or clue or whatever going to the graveyard. It's also only 3 mana, so if you have other sources of destroying your opponents artifacts, then you'll draw a card. Most games I've had it out, I've drawn well over 10 cards. Even times when I drew 20 or more. Or an opponent forgets about it and cracks 5 treasures to cast a spell. You draw 5 and they feel real bad lol

2:45 Phyrexian Rebirth would only make 1 token, because you destroy all creatures, including your commander, before you create the token. Cards like Martial Coup or White Sun's Twilight would work though, because they create their tokens while the commander is still on the battlefield.

Sunfall double doesnt work because it kills your commander before making the tokens AND the tokens it makes arent creatures until after you flip them which yet further doesnt work for ojer taq.

yeah sad realiziation on that rule. With phyrexian you can give your commander indestructible and that will work though :)

before watching this video: I am skeptical about such a "greedy payoff" commander in mono W (for card disadvantage reasons). It'll be busted as a 99 in any token deck with some other color's support. what I've wanted wotc to do for a while is print such mono-colored cards that feel "very much like that color" with more colored pips and make it harder to shove it into 3 colored decks

Thoughts afterwards? Yeah 6 CMC is a bit to ask these days, but it is very strong. So ideally if you can drop a board wipe early and slow everydown a little that would be good, or just play all the stuff like hero of bladehold etc that gets crazy the second your commander hits the board. IMO 6CMC will keep it off the highest power tables, but in general its so poweful that I think it works. Ive been having a ton of fun with the deck. Filmed like 3 games with it, which I dont usually do anymore.

Had a video he was filing. It crashed when a. Wheel was on the stack and notany triggers were in that game. Mtgo can have bad times

This one didnt bother me cause I think he basically had the game wrapped up. In all liklihood we were going to get eliminated (though it was up to random chance) and we definitely wouldnt have enough bodies to slam through, so unless it was one of 3-4 finisher type cards, or a board wipe i dont think we were going to be able to grab the win. The mono green deck I imagine didnt have a way through all of that or a good enough board wipe to handle it so even if the survive a turn they probably just die to the near inifnite tokens on their next turn. Zombie historically doesnt run a ton of removal but assuming he survived (random chance) mono blue would be the most well suite to bouncing and shutting that nonsense down. Anyway I thought it was a cool game, and altho we didnt see the finish I think we could draw enough conclusions about what would happen. That said, I have a few more filmed with this commander cause I am finding it really fun.
