She's not Bamilike, the Bamilike have no oral history of any of the members of their tribe being sold off into any slave trade, so how could she be Bamilike? The DNA geneology tests are a fraud, and for Entertainment Purposes Only. People have sent their dog's saliva in for testing, and these fraudulent tests have returned human, tribal affiliations.

I did my DNA test and learned I'm Senegalese, Nigerian, and 10% European. I think as an African-american and Caribbean woman, i had this feeling that i would be rejected by ppl from African bc some AA said they were rebuff by them. AA have generational PTSD from slavery. It's a real thing! We're the only ppl that was totally stripped of our culture and had to build a new one. We really shouldn't be chastised about that, we're a resilient ppl.

It's so badass to see African culture resemble native American tribes as well. The dance, the togetherness as a ppl for our children. Absolutely no separation between children and all the tribes mothers. I'm mostly of German decent but both sides of my family have Cherokee and Choctaw lineage as well. Lots of different settlers around the foothills of the Ozarks. I love seeing ppl find out more about their families. Badu, you da Tru!

I graduated from a HBCU and my college professor taught me that the colonizers introduced the Africans to time. It makes soo much sense.
@abdullahrasheed1493
@abdullahrasheed1493 3 жыл бұрын
Africans knew about time long before the Europeans colonized Africa. Remember that Africa is a continent not a country. Whereas America is a country made up of some 50 states. Africa is a continent of at least 54+ countries. Each country have many languages, traditions, cultures, religions etc... Not all Africans speak the same languages or follow the same traditions or religious beliefs or any other practices for that matter. Many used the sun and the moon to calculate time. Also remember, Africa is called the "Motherland" for a reason. Too many times we think something came from the Europeans but it didn't. They took what they learnt from the Africans and made it their own. Then when they present it as their and many times in their images we think it came from them and not the African. George James in his book stolen legacy talks about that decades ago.
@smartkookie

@@abdullahrasheed1493 You said bro.. They took civilisation from Africa and their people to believe that it was the other way around. They still feed off Africa till date because they'll never survive without Africa!!!
@judyem.c5753
@judyem.c5753 2 жыл бұрын
How does that make sense to you? Colonization was ruling and abusing of a people. The free labor and taking resources from a continent and people. Any traditional way including knowledge was whitewashed for most part. Africans had their own way of telling time and seasons. The west didn't bring anything but pain and suffering. Just like they did in India, the America's and Australian. It's a repeated formula practiced for their own gain and survival. They didn't or don't rescue anything or anyone instead and for most part create a new problems that those societies are to now working to overcome. The irony of all this is it was must be solved by them or in their own way. Don't be fooled most and all this people had great system and developed civilization while Europe was still in the dark ages. Learn your own history from the true writers of your own true history.

Amare Carter If you are Afro-American your roots trace back to several locations in West and West-Central Africa, and among a multitude of ethnic groups in these regions. The test Erykah took solely represented the origin of a foremother on her direct maternal lineage, a woman who came from among the Bamileke people of Cameroon. Erykah as an Afro-American has ancestors that come from among several other ethnicities and locations in West and West-Central Africa.

its awesome to know all sides of your lineage. Not just one or the other. Many of us from the North American shores have complicated backgrounds through caribbean, southern, african, etc etc. I've always been a fan of knowing it all since my family is Kikapoo and have held on to our family heritage and traditions that's always been paramount with me. know your tribe, know your lineage, know your ancestors, know yourself.

💋 i AM a proud West African woman from Nigeria who is sincerely greatful for all the positive experiences many in the west & across the world are having with retracing their roots ☝HOWEVER so much of what I've noticed is people also picking up the occult practices we Africans are being demonized and tormented by. from ancestry worship to ceremonies that are done signifying a reconnecting to one's communal tribe.. such as what you see here with Erykah.. and also receiving honorary chieftain titles (check out Michael J. White in Ghana). these practices are suuuuuper demonic and open up spiritual channels which give the demonic direct access to come in order to. .. deceive.. distort.. malign.. confuse.. oppress & eventually kill you.. if you choose to remain foolishly obstinate about their activity in your life. sooooo many practitioners and lay people who are in these circles are fleeing to T.B. JOSHUA seeking deliverance from his ministry in order to be set free and escape the torments these spirits bring.. My point is that these ceremonies invite illness.. poverty.. premature death & all forms of spiritual harassment from demonic entities posing as our so called ancestors. PLEASE DON'T BE STUPID and if you get a moment.. please watch👇 and allow the Lord to lead you in these types of matters💋 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qqtgqJyQxJqrmH0.html

"I never really was so concerned about where I was from. You know physically it really didn't register as something I needed to do. Because I am satisfied with, you know, knowing, just the knowing that I am apart of it all, everything. You know everything is matter, everything. And I didn't understand why that really quite mattered. Until I went to the home of the people, the same people of where I come from. It's just another piece to help me to become a better Erykah in America. Peace." - Erykah Badu - Too true.
