I spent 4 hours moving drum mics and gain staging the levels, tuning the drums to perfection. Unfortunately between that and band practice I was too burnt out to record a good take. Back at it tomorrow.

Man you got balls putting a 6-in-line headstock on a single cut. The Gibson purists are gonna come for you. For real though if I had my way, every guitar would have a 6-in-line reversed headstock.

I suggest taking the logo off the guitar's body. Similar thing happened with Gus G's signature pickups (they had his band's logo) and after a while they removed it.

@@svtvn9693 Not the biggest fan of the Rhoads, just looks wrong with 7 strings, not big on the Corey Beaulieu V, ESP hasn't made a 7 string V in a few years, and they're almost impossible to find on the used market. Solar should be the one to step up with their superior ergonomic and metal design, they'd sell great.

I have a set coupled with the floyd rose in my schecter hellraiser and they are definitely cool but get a guitar that has them in it or get ready for some body work

The Type E has a 24.75" scale so I'd expect this to be the same.

I'm guessing 25.5. There are 24 frets (the Type E has 22) and the pickups don't look that close together. Maybe an idea was borrowed from PRS and Chapman and it's 25".

Hey ola, just saw “the ritual” on Netflix, an horror movie about a bunch of British guys getting lost in the Swedish woods. And then SPOILER ALERT They are chased by a weird beast that looks like a moose with human hands and yellow eyes...really weird. Do you have it in your folklore book? Thanks!

The monster in "The Ritual" is not based on anything in Nordic folklore. The closest analogue I can think of is the "Leshy" from Slavic mythology (appears as the "Woodland Spirit" in The Witcher 3). That movie could've been really great, but for someone like myself with insight into Norse mythology and Swedish folklore, it gets pretty ridiculous very fast. Norse mythology is 99% forgotten, subsequently re-imagined and bastardized by Christian monks in the 1200-1700's. I think it's important to remember that what we have now is almost certainly not even almost close to what actually was.

Not the same price range. But i'd say Seymour for passive and Fishman for active. Still prefer Fishman, these pickups are incredible.

Recently got the Fluence Modern set. Absolutely insane. So go with those if you want actives. No going wrong with Seymour Duncan for passives. I personally have the Nazgul. Great humbucker.

If you're not sure you want EMGs, don't get EMGs. You either love them or hate them. I'm in the latter category. I'd say what Alberto says - Fishman for actives, Duncan for passives. If you're willing to spend a bit, I'd recommend checking out BKPs, especially Warpigs.

thaamazingmexican mexicodid9/11 Pat used EMG’s for the majority of his career with CC up till recently. I think the problem with EMGs, and it’s not the pickups, is that they have been around for sooooo long they are kinda like the pickup equivalent of “grandad guitars”. I love them though.

ESP just released a Reba Meyers SG style guitar with the same headstock as this. Different but quite cool. Also no break angle from nut to tuning pegs.
