@@BourbonJunkies In my opinion it was the in whisky for $75. Now that prices have gone up I think Ardbeg 10 is the best deal for $50. I think Weller 12 for $40 is a steal too when you can snag em.

Can you guys do a quitter blind flight instead of a hitter blind flight. Do this, a Woodford master distillers, etc. Then we can see which expensive bottle is the worst!

I find it refreshing when you don’t like bottles. Reminds us that all the reviews are genuine and not (too) swayed by hype or who provided the bottle. Now it’s more fun when you enjoy shitting on bottles like Woodford chocolate rye, this had more of a somber tone lol.

I'd just like to say that I make browned butter a lot. After cooking it, I let it sit in a bowl on a counter to harden up...to spread on biscuits and such ;)

The issue is it's the saviour of whiskey because it's an awesome 115 proof $60 bottle. That idea doesn't scale when it's $150 and the best bottle they release is $175. Itl be interesting to see where it comes out in our end of the year blinds.

@@BourbonJunkies Well in the context of price the 1920 doesn't scale vs the Old Forester 100 which I can pick up for $19 (50cents more than the 86). Bourbon almost always seems to be a case of diminishing return as price goes up, especially above $50 or $60. Do I love the 1920? Yes, absolutely. Is 3x better than the 100? Eh... I'd say maybe 2x as good.

Felt the same way about 150th batch 1. Wasn’t what I wanted/expected. I actually felt that way about the presidents choice too though. To me presidents choice is 1920 and 1910 mixed together (1915).

Wow I had a sample of this and got dark fruits, amaretto, and deliciousness on par with some of my fav bourbons, so the other day I had to get a bottle. Very surprised we differed so much. Gonna have to open my batch 1 to see what's up! Hopefully we just have different palates... >.>

What’s better Forester 1920 or 1910?

Depends on your taste preferences. For me personally 1920 is fantastic, and much better than 1910. It is a high proof, high viscosity, sweet pour. 1910 is lighter, and lower proof. It’s also very good, but i prefer 1920
