YES!! Someone finally reviewed Holly! I found her a few years ago and always thought she was like my little musical secret although she deserves way, way more recognition than she receives for the simple fact that she is pure talent, and she just so happens to come from a legendary family.

This song moved me when I first heard it and doesnt happen often. As you mentioned it's so well written and i know some comments people have made on the song is the repetition of 'waiting on June' but that's part of the songs structure. Also that last line is great 'no more waiting on June' as clearly she has then joined him and they have been reunited. I think possibly that Hank Williams Sr wouldnt be alive as he died quite young so she wouldnt had known him.

You’re right about her not being alive when Hank Sr. passed. She was born almost 30 years after he died.

Yes Hank Sr had died and Hank Jr was doing his thing so Holly grew up mostly on her mother’s side. Holly is a phenomenal talent and so glad you found her and especially this song of hers. In the nursing homes they don’t place and wife together in same rooms typically from what I understand. This is literal I think in that he was waiting on June each night to sneak in his room is what I’ve heard. Great job, keep it up

For a suggestion you should check out Blackberry Smoke - Ain't got the blues. Theres probably a number of their songs I could recommend but I feel like this song always cheers me up after a long stressful days work.

It's a crime against humanity that her brother gets more attention than she does just because he inherited the first music. Jr. once said that people always compared him to Sr. and felt he could never fill his daddy's shoes. But looking at Hank III's music, Jr. could have done a lot worse.

Eh both Junior and III are fine. Just fine. Some good songs and a lot of crap. Whether you like one or the other more depends on taste. Neither are Holly level let alone Hank Sr level
