"On Wrong Side Of History!" Daniel Radcliffe Says Fallout With JK Rowling Over Trans Is 'Sad'

Daniel Radcliffe has responded to the fallout with Harry Potter author JK Rowling over her views on the transgender community for the first time since 2020, saying: "It makes me really sad".
Rowling, who has always denied being transphobic, has been widely condemned in recent years for her views on transgender rights, having claimed that she would rather go to jail than refer to a trans person by their preferred pronouns.
Radcliffe, who became a worldwide star after playing schoolboy wizard Harry in the blockbuster adaptations of the novels, said in an interview with US magazine The Atlantic he has had no direct contact with the writer throughout the controversy.
"It makes me really sad, ultimately," he said, "because I do look at the person that I met, the times that we met, and the books that she wrote, and the world that she created, and all of that is to me so deeply empathic."

His Mom is a casting director, he was already a working child actor & was just Tony nominated. But since Rowling is producing new HP TV series, he will be supplanted in his best known role. Totally lost respect toward Dan & Emma. Whether they'd be successful later in life if they had not been cast in HP is a different story. I just think their conducts are so disrespectful toward JK. None of them mature enough to respect other people' voices. Dan's involvement with the Trevor project and Emma as UN ambassadors should have opened their eyes that abuse are rampant among both women and LGBTQ groups. Women have fought so hard to achieve the rights that Emma & Dan's wife & mothers have enjoyed today. And despite that, many women are still victims of sexual assaults and abuses. Same goes to trans people. We need to find solution that work for both groups without sacrificing the right of one group for the other. Dan & Emma need to listen to other voices too, like JK, too without shutting them down!

If your right, and medical intervention for minor's not identifying as their birth sex (though as far as I know that only extends to puberty blockers, and actual surgical intervention can only be performed after eighteen or majority age) then why is non-consensual surgery forced on intersex children. Even circumcision is genital mutilation without consent, and most of you think that is your undisputable right as parents to force that on your baby son's.
