I separate those who work on the animated films and projects from the higher-ups and those who make the live-action remakes. It’s not perfect, but it helps. I know the talented folk who made the classic films wouldn’t want soulless remakes, and some actually have come out and said as such.

I feel like it’s a bit more acceptable to conflate things like Pixar, the Disney Afternoon, the Skellington Pictures releases, etc. with Disney than their other acquired properties, but those appearances could be treated as big events to make up for it.

I'm not looking for an argument when I say this: Disney himself had plenty of flaws, and definitely could have been less strict, but he was a good man at the end of it who truly wanted to make everyone happy all around the world. This short reminded me of that.

I absolutely love "Once Upon a Studio!" It was truly a fitting tribute to celebrate Disney's 100th anniversary as both a company and in the animation industry! And even though it's a shame that not every single Disney character good or bad made appearances in the short film, It was still interesting to see the interactions between the one's that did appear. Speaking of which I believe the reason why not every single Disney character appeared in this film is because the characters that did appear are all from movies and shorts that were made both specifically and exclusively by Disney Animation Studios, While characters from Disney films that were made by other studios sadly could not be used for the film.

The only major characters I thought should have been in this are Willie the Giant from Fun and Fancy Free, the dancing mushrooms from Fantasia, some more Silly Symphonies characters like the Tortoise and the Hare or the Musicland cast, the flamingo and sprite from Fantasia 2000, Shan Yu from Mulan, the parents from Meet the Robinsons, King Triton from the Little Mermaid, Mufasa from the Lion King, and some representation of So Dear to My Heart and Song of the South. I don't know if Roger Rabbit could be in this regarding legal rights and the studio that made the film. Meanwhile, Chernabog and Robin from Back to Neverland were missing at the ending shot

For all their corporate greed and lack of heart these past few decades, Disney truly can be magical at times. This short was one of those times. For 7 or so blissful moments, I was a kid again, back in my family room, watching my VHS copies of Disney movies. I was surrounded by dear old friends I haven’t visited in years as I grew older and shelved those movies and later sold them off. For one blissful moment, the worries and burdens of adult hood were lifted from me and my carefree innocence could surface. For that one moment, it simply felt magical. Walt himself would be proud.

Honestly I didn’t expect that almost all Disney characters would appear together in same project for 100th years birthday of Disney company that was created by Walt Disney himself while I lost all respect for current company that became shell of former selfs due many reasons and factors goes all lists of that why Disney today lost all magic spirit and hearts of what once was but now seeing all once upon a studios showing all characters from past present and even future Disney characters come together for 100th anniversary make both cautiously optimistic for future of Disney studios and it animations roots This is exactly why I love and been big fan of Disney since childhood

What a weird year this has been for Disney... This short was beautiful and I'm super hyped for *Wish* now the villain song has dropped, but they just keep digging a deeper grave with the *Snow White* remake. Disney made a huge fuss about Daily Wire "spoiling" their centennial, but none of this would have happened if they hadn't destroyed the legacy of their founder's single most important film. 😔 I suppose only time with tell. There are some truly talented, genuine people at Disney and they need to be given the helm. *Encanto* was a shining example of what Disney are capable of when they put corporate in their place. Here's hoping they can straighten themselves out, for Walt's sake.

It's basically different divisions with their own priorities under the same umbrella. I think the big wigs like Bob Iger are more hands off on the animation studio and let them do their thing with a bit more leeway while supervising the live action remakes more directly, making sure they hit all of the "checkboxes" and all that. The animation studio hasn't been perfect, Strange World wasn't all that great in my opinion (and no, it's not because of the gay thing), but it seems like they're given a freer hand to make the films they want to make without _as much_ corporate interference.

My roommate and I marathoned the animated canon, and it was great seeing the representation. I stan Thr Black Cauldron, so it was particularly happy seeing it show up.😁 Alan-a-Dale is the MVP for starting up "When You Wish Upon a Star," and it was beautiful. But my favorite moment hands down was Mickey and Walt. As someone who loves to write and create stories, seeing the bond they share really got to me.

This short was seriously something special. One of my favourite moments is at the end where they’re all singing and getting into the song and as it crescendos, you can see Kaa with his head held high with everyone else, absolutely killing it, before his entire body relaxes in such a beautiful, fluid motion as the photo is taken. I know it’s a small thing with my favourite snake, but it made me extremely happy to see him with so much attention to detail. Did anyone else’s favourites get something like that in the group song? I really wanna know! 💖💖

This special had me laughing throughout the first half, especially when Anna asked Elsa if she thought all the villains would be there, and Elsa froze Hans before he could leave their painting before saying "Not all of them." There were two moments in the second half that made me feel emotional. First was part with Mickey thanking Walt Disney for all he did, and the other was when Mickey told Oswald to go first. After all those years of Oswald being forgotten despite being created first while Mickey replaced him taking all the fame which was one of the biggest plot points in Epic Mickey, he really deserved this.

There's one thing that confuses me a bit. Well at the end when they had the final photo of all the characters of different movies, with the Big Hero 6 characters, they forgot to add Tadashi there. Yes, I'm well aware that he died in the movie but so did other characters like some antagonists yet they were there so why wasn't Tadashi there. Before you ask, yes I did look for an image of the group photo and I looked at all the characters I could see to know that some characters who died were there so why not Tadashi. Yes, I could be overthinking it a bit but that's just my thoughts right now 😅😅😅😅😅 Either way, happy 100 years of magic to Disney and to many centuries more to come. May the magic never end and as for any shortcomings Disney has ever had in the past and currently, well may make wiser choices in the near and far future.

This short was truly special. Disney has had a long streak of bad decisions, but you can't deny the artists behind the works really do care, and deserve love and respect. Everything about this was perfect! On a side note though, I feel so bad for Hans. Y'know, the dirt bag from Frozen? They literally had a joke about Elsa freezing the picture to prevent him from partaking in the photo shoot... Imagine what it must be like for Hans. You were abused and mistreated and hated by all your brothers your whole childhood, then you get greedy and power hungry and try to kill two people to take over a kingdom (a really bad decision, didn't even succeed), and SOMEHOW that's unforgiveable. Just to spite you, you get to miss a once in a lifetime experience of being able to join in on the 100 year anniversary photo... Meanwhile the most evil of villains like the guy from the Hunchback of Notre Dame (y'know the guy who was a sexual abuser who murders children and stuff) gets to join in the photo op... Its kinda depressing if you think about it.

I agree on you when I saw Hans being frozen by Elsa and him grunting in sadness and being cold I feel bad for him. He looked happy when he was about to be out of his portrait. I have a feeling he not really a bad person even though he tried killing Elsa and succeed on killing Anna till Elsa saved her. But a lot of fans were saying that the trolls made him evil when they sang. I heard there a book and there an evil troll who cast spells to make people do bad things, that what I heard. "My man Goofy needs to make a comeback!" I concur, but with something extra: he needs to play a major role in something that's meant to be taken seriously again. Think about it. His role in the Epic Mickey series was just as a robot with a minor role. He barely does anything in Kingdom Hearts III, especially compared to the second game where he almost dies at one point. He gets a really nice episode in DuckTales where he encourages Donald to embrace the chaos of his family, like how he embraced the chaos of his relationship with Max, but that was just one episode. The only recent appearance of his that played a main role is the Paul Ruddish series, and as fun as that show is, it's clearly meant to be taken as an insane wacky show with very little emotional moments. And he has to still be played by Bill Farmer. He already made Hop Pop one of Amphibia's favorite characters by combining a silly persona with a dramatic one. I would love to see him do it again as our favorite Goof! And on that note, the scene where Mickey pays his respect to Walt's picture felt so genuine, I actually kinda want to see Chris Diamantopoulos play Mickey in even more genuine stories. Again, love the Paul Ruddish show, but, next to maybe Casper, I feel like Mickey and the gang are the only early cartoon characters that are allowed to tell stories that are silly, yet legit. Sure, you can have one short about Tom Cat going to hell for years of his rivalry with Jerry, or a short about Sylvester going to rehab and confronting his addiction to birds and take both situations surprisingly seriously at times, but it's very easy to try so hard to make those characters emotional, you end saturating them in some way.

I don't think Walt would be proud, maybe that the company has lasted a century and so on. However, Walt was very much business and family oriented especially. If he knew the propaganda in the films produced over these last few years and shows geared as Dei, he'd lose his sh$@#. We do need his ingenuity back and maybe fire some people. If he were at Disney animation studios he'd be smacking the stupid of all the animators. All and all, Disney's legacy is still going strong.

My thoughts on the shot was fantastic, and I already seen it, and I thought to myself, they could never do this, but usually they did despite the bad times that we’re stuck with, but it won’t be long until the strikes in Hollywood ends, so we can have good films and shorts like this again, and by the way it was great seeing all those characters again, especially some of the new ones I never seen yet.

FR I LOVED THIS BUT DISNEY PLZ STOP HAVING RAPUNZEL WITH HER HAIR BRAIDED but that would take a alot of time i swear if they make a tangled live action and her hair is braided- But they should've fixed the Mandela Effect and make Tinkerbell dot the I in disney in like the outro or smth. The thing i love is the Make it pink 💗 make it blue 💙

I agree that this felt like a fan video (in a good way) more than a self-congratulatory commercial and largely because of the use of characters from less popular movies. I also loved hearing repurposed audio of the deceased voice actors.

My only complaint was no sign of song of the south. Yes, it's very controversial, but the characters brought the parks to life with splash mountain. No sign of brer rabbit or brer bear upsets me

I love every second of it ❤❤😊 It brings back my childhood but I will be honest and I'll probably get a lot of dislike but. One:I forget or I never seen some of them like the big dragon carry the boy from the movie rescuer something with the two couple mouse. I think the dragon is from the old movie I been hearing about something call Pets dragon? Please let know if I was close😅 As for the other...well I don't know if some of you notice but some of the Disney characters are missing. Like the sequel from the lion king 2, the hunchback, little mermaid 2 and Pocahontas. And also Disney descendants anime version, the owl house, ghost and molly mcgee, big city greens, Phineas and Ferb, the proud family and so forth. I know they can put more in there or at least put like one or two characters in there, trust me I see like 6 characters from big hero six. So I know they can put at least one or two in there. I'm not saying they shouldn't. I'm saying they should acknowledge that those are belong to Disney, weather the people like it or not. I know there's probably more but I can't remember all of them at the moment but I did enjoy them. I just feel a slight bit salty is all. If you people agree please send a like and if not. Tell your side of your opinion. Just as long you don't be rude about it. And smarty pants love your videos by the way. Lots of love.❤

While the short was great, clearly made by fans in the company of the company's history.... we still have to remember its disney at the end of the day and just because they made our childhoods doesn't mean they should be forgiven for all their heinous actions in the past 5-7 years.... i cannot love this short because in the back of my mind i'm going "this feels very manipulative"

I know how you feel Honestly I didn’t expect that almost all Disney characters would appear together in same project for 100th years birthday of Disney company that was created by Walt Disney himself while I lost all respect for current company that became shell of former selfs due many reasons and factors goes all lists of that why Disney today lost all magic spirit and hearts of what once was but now seeing all once upon a studios showing all characters from past present and even future Disney characters come together for 100th anniversary make both cautiously optimistic for future of Disney studios and it animations roots This is exactly why I love and been big fan of Disney since childhood

I absolutely love adore aperciate etc, etc,(Even in writing, it is difficult for me to mention in words more adjectives that describe the sheer genius of this anniversary production.)! Maybe apart for moment when Elsa froze Hans. Gosh woman let him space for breath! Against all appearances you and your sister own him a lot!.It is not his fault that screenwriters make a mistake trying to change him into a pseudo villan!, Maybe he was tricked by the true villan Duke of Whistletown and it just wasn't revelated yet!.Do you think about it any time?!!! Sorry I had to wrote it. Despite from this scene (If Elsa didn't froze prince Hans) I won't camplain at all.Really DISNEY PERFECT PICTURE/MOVIE,Or almost..
