I have a stock 2019 CX-9 same color here in CA. Having that sports car DNA baked in just makes modding it much more sense. The upgrades are beautiful and your video is inspiring.

Looking to take over my wife's 2019 CX9 as she plans to upgrade to the CX90 once the CX9 is paid off. The CX9 takeover was not my initial thought, as I was thinking of moving from my 2008 FJ Cruiser to an Explorer St. But man, a paid-off CX9 with the ability to customize quickly is hard to pass up. I love the CX9 too, and my wife has only owned Mazda, and they have been extremely reliable.

@@pauln4581 hey Paul! I wanted to ask, I noticed when you popped the hood that you had a cover around the intake. Can I ask what is it? Because I have the cork sport intake installed on my CX-9 but I noticed it pulls in a lot of hot air even with the heat shield.

I have the XForce Exhaust Cutout Kits VK12. The internal wastegate comes alive through my corksport intake. Just be sure to get a heatsheild. Our turbo motor hates hot air.

Ceika has a coilover lowering kit. Lip and diffuser were custom made.

IMO, new wheels are always the first place to start. They have the single biggest impact on a car's new look. This is especially true if you have a lower trim with small wheels. 18's in the case if CX-9. Gotta go to 20's or 21's. Some have put 22's on.

22’s 285/40 squared 22x9 22x10 with full turning radius and no rubbing would definitely try 22x10 front and 22x11 maybeee on stock height ^^

Did the intake require a tune? Most modern turbo motors won’t let you just slap an intake on from what I’ve heard. I have a 2020 wrx stage 1+ and enjoy it a lot but I’m looking for a family suv but refuse to have something boring, this is giving me ideas. Only thing i dislike about the Mazdas is that all the interiors are cookie cutters and boring, hopefully the infotainment gets updated in the next version

Car customizing is an addiction. When I was younger I did all that. Ended up in major debt from not being able to stop. It's fun and makes for a conversation piece. Will even open doors to new friends and associates. If you're not careful it can become a money pit and cost you relationships. I grew out of all that. Now I drive a very plain 4 cylinder car that's good on gas and have slowed down and no longer care about how it all looks. Maturity does that. All about priorities. No offense to anyone. To each his or her own. Glad you're having fun.

Cx90 is ugly and it's also expensive. Starting price is 41k, fully loaded one is over 60k. I went out and traded in my outback with black 2023 cx9 last week. What a beautiful car.
