If only they ship to Asian countries, this might be my next purchase. Sadly they don't. Any new reviews on Itiwit touring board though? the 13' single and 14' double chamber? Also their new Itiwit race board looks interesting and well built.

I would like to see a review of that double chamber from itiwit 👍. That itiwit Vs the starboard double chamber 14 foot would be a good video

I have a lot of boards, from starboard allstar 2021 to whitewater inflatables but the itiwit x900 double chamber is incredibly stable in all conditions and really fast considering its weight of about 15 kilos. Worth every cent to me.

@@crzypavin123 That would be very interesting, but i think starboard is on another level. They have welded seams whereas Itiwit have yet to apply those methods to their board. Probably in the near future, i hope. And the price won't increase drastically if they do.

@@DinoAlberini It would be really interesting to see a the deflection test on the itiwit double chamber though. I have the old model touring 12'6" and the new 13', and i felt like the latest design and model is alot more stiffer than the previous model somehow.

We hope to review some Itiwit boards in the future. We tested the 13’ touring in our 2021 iSUP Test on SUPboarder Pro and it faired well for a day touring sup coming in at 3rd place. We feel there was a lack of touring specific additions, but enjoyed paddling the board. Take a look at that video here: supboardermag.com/2021/08/16/inflatable-touring-test-2021-supboarder-pro-head-to-head/ It’s interesting to read everyone’s comments here that Itiwit boards are working for them.

How does this board compare to the Red Voyager 13'2?
@zefe3886

If i have the choice, i would go for this board instead of the latest voyager. I have tested it and felt like it lacks glide. Probably because of the twin fins setup.
@SUPboardermag

Interesting question William. Really depends on what you’re using the board for and how it will fit your paddling needs. The Red Voyager is the full blown adventure sup with multiple handles, a longer board for extra glide and space to store loads of gear when completing multi day adventures. The Sorrento on the other hand can be used for day paddles and small touring adventures. The stiffness of the Sorrento really surprised us and if you want a board that going to perform as an everyday board + adventure sup, it would be a great choice. Hope this helps! Beau

Very helpful review thanks. I'm in the market for a much faster upgrade from my current board which feels like a barge. It's 9 foot something by 30 inches wide which is very hard work and not much fun paddling multiple kilometres. Two options available to me (I'm in the South Island of New Zealand so little choice) are the Honu Sorrento and Fanatic Falcon Air. The Honu is half the price. Any thoughts on the comparison between the two in terms of speed, stability, etc?

Hi David. We can highly recommend both boards. You can't go wrong really. If you're worried about money, the Honu Sorrento is very well designed board. It does exactly what it needs to and was the stiffest board in our deflection test for 2022. The Fanatic Falcon is more of a race board, so expect a bit twitchier movements compared to the Honu which is designed for touring. Hope this helps. Beau

Hi SUPboarder, quick question on this board: my partner is 1,69m for 60kg, and I'm 1,82m for 72kg, would that board be too big/sick for us? Thanks!

Hi Antoine, thanks for the comment. If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the iSUP touring test we did: supboardermag.com/2021/08/16/inflatable-touring-test-2021-supboarder-pro-head-to-head/ - lots of great info in there to help you with a decision. As you’re both lighter riders, opting for 5″ thick board might offer a better feeling if you don’t plan to take lots of gear with you. Choosing the right board has a lot of factors to think about like your ability level, paddling conditions and location for boards available. Look at the range of touring boards from Shark SUP, Starboard, RED, Gladiator, etc for ideas to start with. Hope this helps.

I wanna know why do sup company only ships to US/Europe?? I live in asia and I’m so upset I can’t get the popular sups like iRocker, Honu, Bluefin, atoll etc. I’m even willing to pay for the expensive shipping cost. I wonder if I can try and order using a parcel forwarding service address and then ship to me?
@SUPboardermag

Hi Danneh, I guess it depends where their distribution centres are and where they have the most consumers. I would reach out to the brands if you can and ask about their shipping options to Asia. Alternatively, there are some brands that are in Asia, but maybe you are after something specialist? Good luck with the search. Beau

The nose rocker in this video looks much lower than the picture on their website. Is this a manufacturing variation? Are you going to have concerns if you paddle it in rough water?
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 2 жыл бұрын
Good question Shuxun. This nose rocker profile was virtually the same to last year's board we had. And Will did paddle on a 30 km coastal touring run and it all seem to be fine. But he did say that if the nose was more refined it would've worked better in the choppier conditions. Just like other boards like the starboard touring. I personally would rather have a flatter board than a board with too much rocker because that only slows you down but with flat rocker boards the waves will come over the board more but it seems like a smaller compromise than having too much rocker. Thanks Reuben

@@SUPboardermag Really good point on flatter board than too much rocker! There’s no such board excel at every possible water condition. We have to pick the one that fit most of the personal usage. The Honu Sorrento was sold out, so I just got the Thurso surf expedition 150. The rocker is very similar to the Sorrento in your video. The bottom of the nose tip is almost touching water. I’m not looking for surfing or downwinding but just want to make sure I can paddle safely if water conditions all of sudden became rough.
