They should call the maps "What button is right, the 25% chance game"

I actually thought the first one would be a trick question, where two were stone, one was a double slab of petrified oak, and one would be Silverfish Stone, and the common thread would be that the pickaxe is the mining tool, since monster stone can be broken with your hands

I really hate these maps with a passion. The thing that makes it unique should always be a property that three of them have, and one of them doesn't. If the answer is "this was the only one with x property" then you could come up with hundreds of reasons for any of the options.

Dont worry Jardon, the map was just not made well, you literally have to guess what the question is, and the "hint" is literally the question

If it hasn't happened already there really should be a troll one of these maps where you always get it wrong and the answer changes based on whatever one you guess last

you can't use golden carrots in sus stews, instead you can brew it into the night vision potion, hence azure bluets are the only ones you can't make into something that gives night vision

It's most frustrating that so many things can be true at once. There was a really big deal made out of sheep spawning more in cherry grove biomes. That should have been the predominant answer.

The pre one could have been any of them. Iron: originally dropped block Emerald: only one that requires iron pickaxe or better Lapis: only one that drops multiple items Coal: only one that can be used as fuel

I really like the concept of puzzle maps like this, but I have a deep ideological problem with how a lot of them are set up. If there is only going to be one correct answer that is accepted, then, with the player's starting information, there should only be one POSSIBLE correct answer and it should be able to be figured out with zero random guessing. Otherwise, they cease to be "What Doesn't Belong" puzzles and turn into "I'm thinking of a number from 1 to 4. Guess!" puzzles instead. In those cases, you might as well have four empty pedestals, since there's no way to know what the map creator was thinking and it's just a 25% random guess. Of course, there should be red herring options that will fool some people. Maybe even every wrong answer is SOME kind of red herring, but they should NOT be legitimate correct answers given the initial parameters of the puzzle... just not the one that the creator had in mind. The player should have full access to everything needed to figure out the correct solution from the start. In this one, the hint system /kinda/ helps this problem, except the fact that the hints are being tracked. Maybe if each puzzle room had a title that narrowed the parameters just enough that the solution could be figured out? I dunno. Sorry for the rant. It's just a pet-peeve of mine. This is not meant as hate to the map creator. I certainly don't have the patience or skill to create maps like this, so kudos for doing it in the first place.

The best and most mind blowing map you ever did was a "What Doesn't Belong" map, I still remember it. Flur 17, absolutely crazy twist.

Torch flower, poppy, and golden carrots all can be used to get potion effect night vision. I knew that because I'm a potion user in Minecraft. The weird part is the vague hint really didn't narrow anything down since technically they're all consumable. Point effect would also be to good of a hint for that one so it seemed more or less the map creator went with consumable because they didn't want to give the answer out from just one hint.

The cherry sapling with the bee thing is INCORRECT! I've only ever had a bee nest spawn with a cherry sapling

Personally, i think these maps are complete bs. (doesn't mean it's not fun). But yeah every one of the options has so many differences that you are basically almost guessing which one doesn't belong.

Pretty sure the golden carrot is brewed into NV potions, but that wasn't really implied by the first hint. Torchflowers being craftable into NV Sus-Stew is definitely new if it is genuine, but in line with the other effect ingredients being the same if so. That being said, the only suspicious stew effect I ever bother keeping track of are the healing ones like what you get from dandelions, and oxeye daisies. The rest are either negative, or needless. Night Vision as an effect wouldn't bad for cavern mining, though. 🤔

Yeah, the problem with the map is that a lot of the questions had multiple odd-ones-out (and by that I mean multiple, valid, somewhat difficult options, not just the very obvious ones), which means that you can never work it out yourself without basically guessing between a few correct options. I understand that it's supposed to be 1.20, but that should just mean you add the new stuff, not you only do 1.20 changes, because that just adds less complexity to the map.

These are my absolute favorite type of videos from this channel. Please keep doing more!

The problem with these maps is that most of the time there's ZERO way to know what the map maker wants you to think, so you're just stuck trying to guess what aspect they're going for. I mean just for the first few I thought that it was Warped not because of the Nether, but because it was a Hyphae while the others were Logs. I thought the ore one was Emeralds because the other ores can be mined with Stone while Emeralds need at minimum Iron. For the seeds I thought Potato because it's the only one without "seed" in the name. There are just WAY too many different aspects that you could go off of, and you just have to HOPE you guess the right one. I feel like maps like these need to give you a free hint at the start of the level otherwise it's nearly impossible to do well on your first time through without pure luck.

This was incredibly frustrating to watch. I almost stopped half way. Your note at the beginning was spot on. The "answers" were all either too vague or too specific and no context to clear it up. It was like the rules changed with each room. Each one should have some sort of contextual clue posted so you can read it without having to use a hint (even the hints weren't that great, as evidenced by the last one). Props to you, sir, for finishing this, I'm not sure I could have.

fun fact i learned the other day: villagers can plant the pod seeds and the torch flower seeds. i had a sniffer living in a village while i worked on it and a villager by chance picked up both of those items. i then grabbed that villager and popped him into an automatic farm. once he became a farmer he planted them immedietaley! i was surprised to see them pop up in my farm, but still interesting that they thought to put that in!

In the second one all can be correct: Iron is the only one that you smelt; Emerald spawns differently; Lapis drops a lot more ore at one time; Coal is the only one that can't be used for armor trims.

I agree with Jordan, I i think the first hint improves.the experience. I think it should actually straight up be given as a default along with the question. Otherwise its stupid since any number of things could be the "correct difference". I hope other find the difference maps start giving the topic/area of difference with the question from now on.

i just made a map like this, called Which doesn't belong. my map is in stages with a Blocks, Mobs and items stage. its about a 1hour long map (1.5hours for the cap :P) and i really hope he plays it. My map has it so 3 items have 1 thing in common and the other item doesnt. not like 1 random thing like this map had.
