Welcome to my latest grocery haul for my family of 13. In today's video, I'm run down with a virus that had quickly spread through the household, so excuse the voice and less than quality recording, as I simply pulled out my phone to get this one done at all. On this occasion I shopped at both Woolworths and Coles, with free delivery at both places. The reason I shop at two supermarkets is that it enables me to not only get my favourite products from both stores, but also allows me to take advantage of the specials and reduced items at both stores, thereby getting the best deals and most bang for buck. I am a Woolworths Rewards member through Woolworths and a FlyBuys member for my Coles shops, so it also allows me to get points for each of those (Woolworths = money towards my Christmas shop, and Coles = money towards future shops, as well as a current deal where I can receive a free piece of cookware). During these times of extra grocery costs, I find that by being savvy at the regular supermarkets, I can make my dollar stretch almost as well as it would at Aldi or Costco (love those stores, too, but its a drive and extra effort, whereas my online shopping allows me to fit it into my week more easily.
Total cost of this shop was:
Woolworths Australia: $416.50AU ($276US)
Coles Australia: $300AU ($198.80US)
Total: $716.50AU ($474.80US)
