Welcome to my video! Today I'm taking you with me on this realistic Monday morning Clean-up of my messy post-holidays abode. As a mum of 11, the first Monday of term is always a busy one, with plenty of time dedicated to getting our space back in order for the school weeks ahead. I'm a thorough cleaner (anything worth doing is worth doing properly, after all!), but I am also a normal person, living in a normal house, and using everyday items that are readily available at most supermarkets. Yes, there are some fun looking gadgets that I have my eye on, but I'm happy to make do as well (as most of us do!). The same results one gets with fancy equipment can be achieved with a little imagination and elbow grease, and I'm a big fan basic cleaning supplies, such as an old toothbrush, old butter knife, old face washers, dish soap, and vinegar....you can pretty much achieve any cleaning goal with these items!
In my family, we all contribute to the cleaning and maintenance of our environment. Everyone (from double digits, up) has a specific 'job', and all smaller people (as well as older people) are encouraged to keep their room clean, make their bed, and put their clothes pile away each day. Obvs I help smaller children with these tasks, as does their dad.
We are also slowly preparing to move house, so I've been de-cluttering where possible, while still maintaining a homely environment for us to enjoy in the meantime. But times are getting busy! This is the first cleaning video I have done in a long while and, if popular, I'd be happy to take you along as a weekly addition, as well as bonus videos of the sorting and moving process as it happens.
On my channel I share original recipes, big batch cooking, and grocery hauls to help you get creative and feed your tribe.
