Yes and this needs to be practiced at least 50 + times a day on it's own until the muscle memory is baked in. I would do it everyday no matter what.

I really like this tip. Really helps with a no-spin toss from the hand. The other tip is to keep my arm straight and assume it's on a "hinge" from the shoulder. Keeps the ball going straight and not too far backwards or forwards.

It's difficult to have the tossing arm extended fully up when your palm is facing up. The palm should be facing sideways when your tossing arm is fully extended upwards.

true, the ice cream cone method produces a much more consistent toss once you get the hang of it
