Looks great.Its about time someone started building mounts for the Hobie! One thing in the video. If you slow down the motor before hitting spot lock it will be significantly smoother. Hard lesson learned by me on the wife 120 Auto Pilot! LOL As for speed 4 to 4.5 is pretty normal for a 45 - 55 pound thrust on a kayak. Our old town runs about 4.5 is all. I agree it does seem a lot faster.

@oneobjective SO AWESOME what you guys are doing and I love your podcast. I know that the titan pedals move when the trolling motor is engaged, is this the same thing for the 360drive

Awesome ! Hey I have a 2017 Predator PDl. Looking for a way to mount this on the front. Haven't found anyone that has done it yet. Think your mounts would work? Thanks Guys, love your channel

I’ve been calling these guys to do the OldTown Predators almost every month. If you live near them , give them your kayak. I too have a 2017 OldTown Predator PDL .

Do they make a cable to deploy so you don't have to leave the seat? I'm new to Kayaks. I have and Xi5 on my boat.

I wanna do this to my PA12 but im so concerned about making it too bow heavy. Im 270lbs so i have to be more methodical with how i load my yak. Might need to wait till i upgrade to a PA14

My 14' 360 runs 4.6 without a tail wind.

Speed really don’t matter it’s the spot lock feature that’s game changer. Being able to sit in one area and make cast after cast with out making adjustments. And being able to go down a bank in heading mode and make casts with out having to stop fishing to move the boat.

This addition wuth the spot lock will eliminate the use of the micro pole anchor.

Will that Xi3 handle saltwater? The website says - it is a freshwater trolling motor.

They make a salt water version it will be white

@@OneObjective I saw that, however the saltwater doesn’t come in 36” for kayak. Can I use the freshwater in intercostal Florida occasionally couple times a year and be OK?

Pretty dang shallow. But if it gets to a shallow you can pull it easily

I Have PA 14 I normally cruises at 3.5 and I would say you were going twice as fast. Look like about 7 or 8 mph.
