i think the reason why you stick to walls is because the "programmer" made the movement speed when pressing toward a wall "0" in all directions, instead of having "0" horizontally and a vertical falling speed

All the movement types (platformer, 8 directions, bouncing ball, driving) make me think of KNP, but I guess it could be another software.

i really don't know, you're probably right. there are a few simplistic programs floating around, and some of them just seem too similar when it comes to minimal-quality games like this

Oh gosh I actually remember playing this over a decade ago. I think I got up to where you get Kirby as player 2 and I stopped. It is so much worse than I remember. That narrator voice. Oh man that voice.
