Thank you ! I cleaned my Dyson inside and out! I followed every step. Female 58. I did it. If I can do it anyone can do it. I skipped the unscrewing of screws. Did understand how that endeavor would need cleaning.

Thanks for posting this! Mine was getting stuffed up, and the “bang it Over the sink” technique wasn’t working anymore. Works great now!

Thanks for the details. My "beater bar" would operate intermittently and I reasoned that I was making a poor contact somewhere. I was able to remove the motor head and buff up the contacts with steel wool. I also made sure to remove any hairs or debris from the area so I would be sure I was making good contact. Working much better now. Your disassembly instructions are superb.

Much appreciated mate. You take it to the next level and I for one, am most grateful! Most people are so timid about really doing everything together fullest! You saved me more times than I can count by showing exit and reentry of parts! Thank you 10xs over from the states!

my old V6 i haven't used in years was cutting out. Thanks to your video I was able to take it apart and get it up and running again. Looks like some of the channels got gunked up as it was in storage. Now works fine saving me from having to buy a new vacuum.

Excellent vid. Very useful. Ours was starting to smell a bit and when I opened it up I was amazed at how much nastiness was inside. Thank you very much.

Wanted to say thank you. I have a V6 I was changing the battery on, then I learned about the hepa filter mod, added the Bros filter and motor housing adapter, then I noticed how dirty inside and didn’t see how to disassemble the main chassis and your video was so spot on for both disassemble and reassembly. Can’t say thank you enough! Well done, favorite and best vacuum I’ve ever owned. Also have a v7 I also modded with Hepa filter and longer runtime battery. Next is the Dewalt 20v max battery adapter for hot swap batteries!

Thank you. What a lot of stinky crap that got out. I was amazed that my Dyson worked at all.

Extremely helpful. I didn't use chopsticks but I managed to squeeze the plastic ring to get the two halves apart using an electrical screwdriver and the point of a big wood drill bit, and used the latter to undo the screws to change the battery.

Thanks for this. It was a great help. 👍Because Torx screws don't require any downward pressure, I found that if you pull the magnetic bit until it's just a mm or two near the end of the screwdriver and wrap one circumference of insulating tape around it, the bit is easily long enough to remove the 4 screws. Mine came out very easily and my Dyson was caked in dirt and dust. 🙈😁 I was tempted to remove the nozzle from the clear dust cylinder too after seeing one screw and removing it. I tried to pry the sides of the nozzle off and it clicked nicely but it was then that I noticed another screw was inside it. I guessed that the two pin electrical connector would have to come out first to get to it though and I didn't think it was worth maybe breaking it. 🤔 Thanks again for this very useful video. 👍👍👍

Thank you so much! My V6 has started to smell when I use it. I’ve cleaned the top filter but had no idea the piece comes out of mesh. Huge clump of hard dirt and other stuff. Thank you again!😁😁✌️✌️

Thank you for your detailed vid, I’ve just done this a second time, first time the foam in motor part went into small pieces, had no money at time to fix, so searched many vids, watched hundreds of times from 2 people, then took the ‘it’s now or never’ it was hard, I took pics of every step, that motor head I nearly made a hole in plastic, I love my Dyson so I nearly cried & yes it’s hard to get it back together, I even had to search for similar foam & make gasket, it worked & ive been using for 2 years now, wish your vid was out at the time, your way of taking that funnel part off in one piece from motor head/handle is easier, there is another black gasket in the area where the red gasket is too, for anyone who does a thorough clean. Anyway waiting for parts to dry, thanks again, I was so worried about breaking things, it feels good to know I can do it, this time it was easier cheers🙂

Excellent video. Really appreciate the completeness of the video and the advice on dos and don'ts. I cut a tiny nail and put it in my screwdriver and steel forceps made extraction of the same easily done. Gr8 work. You are a legend.
