comeon the frill sweater looked so cutee!!! i loved the fuzzy jacket too, maybe style it better? the frill sweater can be styled with high waisted work pants, high waist straight pants, high waist flared pants or jeans, a cream colored turtleneck under the sweater would look amazing.

The brown shoes look great on you and I would keep them. The boots are cute with a pair of dress pants. Maybe a black pair, black top and a bag with that tan color and some gold jewlery.

The fuzzy jacket is a night jacket for a night out over a fancy top or dress. The green set is great for just hanging around the house, or a quick throw on to cover up a bathing suit or something. Love the jackets though. The boots are easy to style with jeans or pants, the autumn shoes are great too! You have more style than what you give yourself credit for! hang in there girl!

the cardigan with ruffles is actually really cute and i think look good on you!! i think wearing it open in the front can make the ruffles not look so dramatic if you don't like that.

If the brown autumn shoes feel a bit too tight. Wear thick fuzzy socks and use a hair dryer (wiggle your feet during the process). Do it for few min, cool down, and again. It will make the shoe looser and more comfortable.

That frilly sweater is super cute on you! But I feel you. NMS either 😂 I love that gray sweatshirt. The short torso and cropped stuff… ehhh. it’s because things with a longer torso make you look slimmer and short tops do the opposite. But I love that fluffy thing. Maybe with a tight long torso shirt under to emphasize true size.

I actually like the fuzzy coat over the poofy coat. That shirt you forgot about I thought looked great on you. Those purple shoes looked great too and very mature, but the boots are a definite no for me.

Hi Allison! New viewer/subscriber here. I don't comment on YT videos very often, but I have to say all of those items looked so good on you! I haven't watched enough videos yet so I'm not yet familiar with your style, but even though you said some of the items weren't your style maybe it's time to branch out! The only item I thought was a miss was the hat (agreed, it was an awkward size). I would wear the super fuzzy jacket around the house in winter. The distressed, black sweater would really good with jeans or a denim skirt. The taupe-y brown boots would have been cuter with a square heel, but are still cute; however, life is too short to wear shoes that feel too tight. Anyway, that's my two cents. I think you looked really good in everything you tried. Yes, even the cream sweater with the frilly V-neck. 😄That would be really cute with a plain tank top underneath. Sorry for the long comment. I have loved Japan and Japanese language since I was in elementary school so I enjoy living vicariously through KZfaq videos like this and I especially love watching fukubukuro unbagging/unboxings. Japanese fashion is a short person's dream lol. Too bad I am WAY outside the size limit. I found you through your Japanese language tips videos as I am trying to get back into active study. For the sweater with the super weird v-cut thing, depending on how it’s constructed you might be able to rip the seams out on it and just remove that bit. But construction might not allow.

I am coming to work in Japan in about 2 mos!! I bought some shoes to bring that were kind of tight when I first unboxed them. I was afraid they were a fail, but I inserted wooden insoles that have stretched them out perfectly. Of course the insoles are so heavy--there's no way I'd put them in my suitcase. Wooden inserts are pretty easy to thrift where I live.

I’ve always wanted to order the Happy Bag from GRL but wondered how big the box would be as Buyee etc always charge a lot to ship heavy things over 🥲 from this, it looks VERY big 😂 I loved what you got though! The light blue shirt looks sooo good one you. For the shoe its normal that the back feel a little thigh because you usually have to «break» them. So maybe try wearing them like fifteen minutes every day for a while. And the little boots looked very good too, and would pair up so well with some nice jeans and a nice top, and it's also pretty normal to feel pressure in your toes since you're walking on them basically.

I agree with the things you decided to keep, those items looked good on you. Wasn't that black sweater weird--it was simultaneously ripped and really conservative, lol. And why was the hat so small? I find that Japanese hats usually run big.

I really like the jackets. Looks like it would keep anyone warm. I'm not sure about the trend with cropped garments and more so where it's not finished. We wore clothes that looked tattered because we wore them out. Not sure why anyone would buy it already like that. The hat isn't small, it just seems child sized. With shoes you have to be comfortable in them or you'll run into or cause other problems. Otherwise seems like a good haul.

The shoes, if they don’t feel comfortable now, they really won’t when you have to run for a train or stand in them for more than half an hour. I really liked the “penguin” jacket on you especially if it felt good to wear.

I agree, the GRL bag is really disappointing. Which is sad because from those pictures you showed at the beginning, it looked quite promising. But especially those items with the unfinished look are awful. I’m mean I get it, it’s supposed to look that way. But in my opinion it always looks like if you couldn’t effort to buy new things if something gets destroyed. But maybe I’m just to old for this 😅. Anyway, the shoes are great, especially the brown ones. They’ll come in handy for an office job. So I think that’s a win.

Dw about not being a crop top girl if you don’t want to be one! I’m an anomaly… a teenager who doesn’t really like crop tops! But I’ve found that if I get a crop top or cropped sweater that wearing them with high waisted pants is a good way to go.

The black sweater actually suits you really well. It's just a shame the distressed edges aren't done in an artsy way but just look like someone took a pair of scissors to them... perhaps something a tailor could fix.
