This 4th developer diary video reveals some of the key features set to make Operation Flashpoint: Red River the ultimate tactical infantry shooter. From a new command radial which allows complex commands to be issued in just two button presses to a range of new tutorials and improved way-pointing, the team discuss the myriad ways in which players are eased into the experience. The 'visual language of war' and the lengths to which the team have gone to deliver an authentic experience is also discussed as part of the team's aim "to give players a little gimpse of what it might be like to be on the front line."
Operation Flashpoint: Red River is out now in the UK & Europe and arrives in North America on June 7th for the Xbox360 ,PS3, and Games For Windows LIVE.

I bought the game today, played it until level 3, and I'm here to say that the gameplay was amzing. The graphics are very nice, animations work well, I didn't experience any bugs except for one graphical glitch of a floating weapon when I die. Audio is amazing, and the missions let off some humor. I recommend people who have patience and like to play war simulation games to buy Operation Flashpoint Red River. Just so you guys know, I played this on console, and I enjoyed it.

@Ejayrazzle you can select "join game" and you can select your perfered options once you did that you can brose different servers to join or join a random match with your settings.

I know this, back in Afghanistan I used to do that, I'm just speaking in the general area towards long range firefights or just firefights in general. By the w,ay glad to have you guys serving with us, really nice people and one hell of a fighting machine, Oorah guys. I'd go to war with you any day.

I have had this game since UK release and it is awesome! Shame PSN is down because I want to crack out a bit of online co-op with my mates. Amazing game!

@TomFoster1996 Instead of making them move to a position choose the hold position option instead and then they will find defensive cover.

@Bankzta901 = just deploy the smoke and order your squad to 'Rush' to the next location - i assume ur talking about 'The Wrong Way mission'

yeah because you would know right? All us military forces are taught to reload when enemy forces are approaching and your squad will be engaging in a firefight

Great game. No point in comparing it to Arma. It was never meant to take on Arma. It was meant to be like a cross between the original Flashpoint with its open spaces and cod type of games. Blaming Codies for not giving you a simulator is just not right. They took the title Operation Flashpoint and made a game they wanted to make.

if you like dragon rising, dont expect the recon based warfare from it. i havent even finished it and want to sell it.

No real soldier reloads with 13 fucking rounds in his magazine you reload when your magazine is empty.

Brilliant gameplay but please could you patch the AI it's really bad. For example they need to understand cover properly not stand behind waist high Walls they should crouch

opps. damnphone. too many go places........but i take that back. i didnt know the first 3-5 missions were training. its intense. and real. i wish i had more control of team....but this deserves the flashpoint title. fuck mw. fuck cookie cutter games.
