got this game yesterday, highly recommend it co-op is great fun!

Got it yesterday, I just love it. Fireteam engagements are a lot of fun to play, Rolling Thunder and Last Stand are my favourites at the moment. And don't worry, it's as hard as the Dragon Rising was. First few missions of campaign is just protecting convoy from point A to B. A lot of close combat fights in villages. I just hope that Codemaster releases more maps to Fireteam Engagements, there are only two maps for each modes...

I think this is going to get Shooter of the year.

Dear Sion Lenton, I will be buying this game as soon as I build my midrange gaming PC this May 2011. It would be nice if this tutorial is included in the game. Nice to know that your AI team mates will find cover first before suppressing the enemy, in dragon rising, AI team mates will fire at will, even without cover after issuing orders.

Probably becasue of region issues america is different, you guys use NTSC in th UK and Australia (where i am from) we use PAL. They are porbably having liscencing/ formatting issues.

they should have made commanding more fast like voice command with the mic now that would make the game even more badass

@WolfhoundMercenary Codemasters own the rights to the name. One of the things usually in the deal between developers and publishers. The publisher generally retains IP rights to the name and franchise. They're just riding the coat tails of the original game hoping to confuse people into thinking it's something it isn't.

Why is the amercian release date so much later than the others?

@yobobjm dont get ur hopes up. I got my copy yesterday with a huge bug that wont allow me to have any weapons and neither does my team mates so i had to return it. The bug was game breaking obviously when i couldent use any weapons and just my emty hand lol But i got it on xbox so i dont know how it is on PC

@airforcerotc305 I liked it too, but I didn't like the new quick command radial. I liked the one in Dragon Rising more, it had a lot more features tbh.

I don't see a lot of differences in the actual mechanics from Dragon Rising though. I think they did a good job streamlining and making objectives and the markers a bit more visible.

I get my games from ShopTo.net and I always get them at least a day before the official release date sometimes 2 days, free delivery and quick dispatch. Getting my copy of Red River tomorrow!!

does this game seem a little " arcadey" to anyone? it doesnt seem much like the ole OP Flash game im used to... graphics are good tho but yeah , not simulated enough for my liking , too much help , i wonder if it has a hardcore mode where you dont get so much HUD help ... would be good.. does anyone know if theres a hardcore mode?

is this worth buying on ps3? Dragon Rising was good but dramatically bad multiplayer and very unsmooth and bad looking. Is the AI any different? Is it looking on ps3 as good as on XBOX360/PC?

It's more realistic than healing magically, and would take the same amount of time fore some bullet wounds, the more wounds you have the longer it takes.

I loved OFP 1, I played that back in the day till my eyes bled. Dragon Rising was awful awful awful, I kept giving it a chance and it always let me down. Please tell me this is better? or at the very least playable.

I love how Codemasters tries to make this game look tactical when it in fact isn't.

@Androgenies If you want a realistic game, play Arma 2 don't bother with this, not sure if your mid range gaming PC can take it, but try and oompf it up for Arma 2, that is the real tactical experience

@GhostRelimit ok so i'm a OFP fan and i have played all of them this one is better then OFP: DR by along shot. love the humor and action. Yes it can be improved but then any game can so it doesn't matter, just enjoy what codemasters have given us.
