Hearing this makes me wish Opie could get his own show. Just Opie and the callers. He could broadcast from the beach and it may possibly be the greatest show in the history of broadcasting.

you people just can't appreciate the genius of Opie. He clearly interrupts everyone when they are flowing to run to the phones as a funny joke! Who in their right mind would stop them to run to phones? A comic genius who is playing 8th D chess. I laugh so hard every time he brings everyone to a screeching halt by going to the phone for no real reason. What a legend!

I feel like he's underrated in the earlier years. Was never the funny guy or even the smart guy in the room but he was ruthless and ballsy and had an ability to pressure and hype Jimmy and Anthony. He lowkey made the show better, then he turned into a jealous scorned ex started reading comments and became the man we all loathe today. Nobody likes Jim and Sam, I can barely fuck with compound media. The rare occasions Jim and Anthony get together it's not bad but it's not OnA. The three of them were amazing when they were.

Lol same thing in the trucking industry...us truckers that are from snow and ice environments or places that gey snow and ice happens to be better truckers vs guys from Florida or Texas who are literally afraid of snow and ice and will stop that truck and not drive until that snow and ice is gone lls!

Im reminded of Billy Gardell talking about The pilot Sully landing the Plane in the Hudson River. And you know his name had to be Sully!
