My hat is off to you, working with such big batches of soap. I'm impressed! Nice recoup when you lost the whisk. I'm glad you showed what can happen when making soap. I've had my incidents, that's for sure. Your soap looks great and I bet it smells wonderful too. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos - Ione:)

Hi Katherine, so sorry for the delay in answering question. Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate them! I have never had an issue about the essential oils "flashing" off. Originally I started adding the EO's to the oils when I was working with fast moving ones but out of habit now I tend to add all scent to the warmed oils. My goat milk soaps are not gelled and my vegan soaps are. Both retain fragrance. Not sure what is the "best" way but this works for me. .

Thsi batch looks amaziing!! Love the video. WHy do you add the essential oils to the oils first? On all the other videos I have watched the soap makers add it at trace. Thought that was interesting.
