There’s also a few comments pointing out how many hats shown in the video aren’t even fedoras. Although that’s completely justified.

Then just me, wishing casually wearing something more formal was at least considered tolerable on the day to day as I like looking what I consider nice. Luckily I don’t associate any of that with ‘masculinity’ or any of that trash

Try bowler hats, and wear them with dark toned double breasted suits or dark toned 3 piece suits.

Or try real wool cowboy hats. Seriously. Great for gardening, can handle rain, winter snow, and summer sun. Durable and functional, yet black ones fit in with many situations. Just don’t overdo it, know your audience and rock the fedora for grocery stores or more formal affairs.

The Yeshivish hats seem more rigid and their suits seem ill fitting compared to the Chabadniks. Is it just my observation or is their a reason for less of a regard for style? On a personal note, my grandpa is from Ivye, near Radin. He even met the Chofetz Chaim. He said that Chassidim look as they do now but the Litvaks were meticulously dressed in fitted grey suits.
