Use a Fisker Isocore 4 lbs hammer to hit an Estwing blue splitter axe. These are the best trunk splitting tools.

Apparently according to fiskers if you use the blunt side of the maul it voids the warranty I fell victim to that when mine broke

For its strength and lightness i would have to guess that the light wedge is titanium. Ita hard enough to take the blows like steel and strong enough to push apart the wood but still light. Aluminum would crack under those blows so i think it is probably titanium

Titanium is relatively coarse and malleable, but idk, your probably right.

They are aluminum. Over time they will shroom out on the striking edge.

Это невысокие полешки,их спокойно можно с краю колоть и колуном,тем более таким мощным.А вот клиньями надо сучковатые,где не колоть,а просто надо разорвать изнутри древесину.
