I have been following you for a couple years. Nice to see your branching out with the investment house; of course it needs to be on the grid for a rental. Would be nice to see a second phase plan for the A-frame house.... Many of us are curious about what that would look like.... Glad Josh is healed up.

Beautiful door, great work as always Josh. The Airbnb here is on-grid with solar back into the grid & the electric bill is less than $50/month with a 24/7 jacuzzi running, so brilliant choice because guests won’t even have a clue about battery usage. Having to travel for supplies eats up a full day, nice the boys are so responsible & helpful so your farm keeps going smoothly. Living remote has its blessings & solitude, so the times you do have to “go to the big city” as we call it, we find it a reminder as why we love our off-grid life (especially because we had lived in Los Angeles)! Expert filming & narration as usual Erin. So sorry about losing your mom at such a young age, I know she is smiling down at her brilliant, gorgeous, strong daughter with so much pride for being such an amazing person, wife, mom, & compassionate loving person. One thing is for sure, the weather can surprise you. I am older than you guys and I can assure you that has always been the case. Pivoting and winning the battle is just a way of life on the farm and homestead. As a young boy I can remember rushing to cover the flowers in my great-grandmother's flower garden to protect them from an unexpected frost. Of course, my grandmother wouldn't eat collards till they had "tasted the first frost". The joy, and trial of living by the ebb and flow of God's good earth can be physically and mentally taxing, but oh so satisfying.

If you guys got a snow and rain sensor for your solar panels that switches on and covers up the panels during a snow and heats the surface when icy you would reduce the work of having to sweep off the snow in the mornings.

The door looks great, will really finish that off once the stones are on. Making progress on the new build as well. Kudos to Carter for getting the chores done on his own. Really showing his willingness to be responsible. Stay safe and well.

Comes in handy having an Electrician. My Dad was Electrician and a lot like Josh. If he didn't know how do something he did by the time he was finished. My mom and 5 kids all worked alongside my Dad for years building a life similar to yours. Always had multiple projects with with a long-term goal for everything.

Hi Josh gust a tip to help you clean the snow off you solar pannels. Take a rope and buy you some pool nuddles and put them on the rope long as your solar grid and take one side of the top of the pannels and Erin on the other side and pull the rope with the nuddles on it downward and presto you cleaned it easy as pie many blessing to you guy's.

Hi guys. Love watching you all. I live in Canada and have a 37kw solar system. We use a large rubber floor squeegee to clean the panels. It works awesome. Put it on a painter’s pole to reach. Keep up the great work.

Hi Erin, I lost my Mom when I was 13. I am so sorry to hear you went through that also. I enjoy watching you and Josh build your future. My Dad was a master carpenter, my oldest son is an electrician. My youngest son has done several of his own remodels. I have in the past done most of my remodels. I am retired now, but, I love watching you guys figure it out and move ahead. You have a beautiful family. Keep on keepin' on !!!
