Just found you two. A great introduction and look forward to following your journey. I bought my 56ft narrowboat in 2017 and it has to be one of my best decisions in life. Not for everyone for sure as some content only portrays the sunny side up. Experience the sunny side down and reality and it's a lifestyle to be enjoyed to the full. Best wishes on your cruising.

Well done! Just what I wanted. I've been thinking about trucking my boat over for a long time. A few English narrowboaters will be wondering why you have your jackets on. I chatted with a KZfaqr from the South, about coming over. He put me right about crossing the loughs. It's the swell you get when the wind picks up. More like being at sea. And my boat is not the best for freeboard. Looking forward to your travels. Mark

Thank you! Luckily for us we bought Qisma after she had already been trucked over. Safety is very important on this channel and you're exactly right the Lough can act like the sea sometimes

Pure awesomeness Narrowboat life is amazing. We recently had our first Narrowboat experience in Northamptonshire on the Grand Union canal and we absolutely loved it! Happy Narrowboat adventures guys…..we will be checking in. Our next boat adventure will be in August and we can’t wait

I hope you don't mind me asking, my wife and me are thinking of buying a canal boat and moving to Lough Erne as a live aboard but from my research so far there seems to be restrictions on how long you can stay at a marina before you have to move. Are you willing to share what your arrangements are? Good luck with everything.

Thanks Nigel! Yes it's definitely a bit confusing. You can get a private mooring but you have to move every 48 hours on a public mooring with no return within 4 hours. We'll do a video at some point

At the beginning of the video you were talking about speed how fast you were going. You looked at a screen or that’s what it looked like. What was the screen?

Hi Micky, we use an app on our phones called Navionics. It's really useful for plotting routes and it will tell you your current speed in Knots. I hope that helps!
