Granted my knowledge of this show is tangential at best, but from my perspective it seems like they made each other better that way…..Ed’s become gentler and kinder, and Stede’s become bolder and more confident

@@maeannengo4908well for someone like Stede it’s quite symbolic, despite being a common and, some would argue overused, trope. He’s been pushed around all his life, not taken seriously, and looked down upon. That was the culmination of him finally taking his decisions, his actions, his life into his own hands and coming into the pirate, and the man, he wants to be.

I suposse it's because I'm not a big music fan, but aside from the opening I didn't realize any music that was specifically composed fro the show, in fact, I love all the Queen songs and the fact that now a lot of people have started to hear to Everyday because of the last episode.

Don't sweat it! The second season has very intentionally paralleled the first, but this time it's Ed getting to where he needs to be for the relationship to work. According to the pattern, the final episode will be Ed resolving the issues that are holding him back and coming back to Stede ready to fully commit. I do hope/expect that this time around, though, they will be properly reunited before the end of the episode (thus setting up the final season as them going through a growth arc together as a couple).

I saw a post on Tumblr pointing out Stede's rings on the window sill next to a little jar of oil, while Ed is still wearing his rings in the breakfast in bed scene the next morning, implying that Stede is the top.
