I nearly fell off my commode when you named the campsite at Albert Town NZ ! I was there in 1990 and I agree, it is a fantastic location . On the day I arrived the reception was empty and there was an open tin on the counter to put your money in. I loved that relaxed NZ way. I know everyone will be making their own suggestions, so I will too. Most people shoot over the Scottish border and head up towards the highlands. But they miss the lovely south coast and Galloway Hills. Our absolute favourite campsite is a small one right on the beach but with all the facilities you need, and it is called Sandyhills Campsite. Very friendly, family friendly but not overrun by kids, dog friendly and if you want to feed badgers, walk by cliffs and caves, this is the place for you. Ok, got to get back to the task in hand, so to speak..... Pete

We stayed overnight at Postern Hill Campsite before we came to roundhill for Hermanfest and loved the walks around the campsite

Hi guys I’m born and bred in Hampshire , neve4 thought the new forest was anything special . As I grow I can see wh6 you like it . I lived in kings somborne . W3nt there every weekend a# a kid . Everyone learnt to drive on the concrete ( d day landing car park ) . Forgot to menttion Hampshire hog roamfree and the pigs . Over 400 square miles of peace and quie5 . Great video . Loved it

Hi from NZ. Was thrilled to hear you mention Albert Town Camp site here in NZ. Sure is a great spot reasonably priced with the Clutha river running beside. Wanaka just down the road. Pity to you didn't have better weather. Winter here now plenty of frosts with lovely sunny days. Hope to see you guys out on the road in Herman soon.

Great video and informative instead of the videos showing you driving around a camp site and driving along a road nice to known how far to places to visit and pubs near by and if there’s any buses to catch to places thank you very much 👍

That's great news Joao. What motorhome did you get? There's lots of campsites to choose from. Have you thought about joining the Camping and Caravan Club?

Gibraltar farm at Silverdale, North Lefaig near Oban and Samedan in St Moritz are ones that come to mind immediately, there are so many and like you say it’s about the experience.

We want to get back to Devizes, visited Stonehenge from there and Roundhill, be nice to get back there. Great choices, excellent pronounciation too.

Devizes is 90 mins away from us. It'll be good to take another look round - was there in March for a week just before the lockdown. Thanks Bob 👍👍👍😀

@@HermanHitstheRoad healeys cyder farm, Penhallow, Truro. Was great day out, we did the tour where they show you everything, from the fields to the making process including history tour, then cider tasting, plus lovely restaurant where if you did tour you got token for a pint of cider.

Hi Ads & Zoe, Must visit New forest area, Devizes looks a nice good, Albert Town lovely, we only had a short visit there while on our New Zealand coach tour last Feb

You guys will love the New Forest. Is it far for you? Could visit Devizes, check out Stone Henge, Avebury, White Horses etc. and then head further south to the New Forest and then on to Poole Harbour and see some red squirrels 👍👍

I enjoyed that especially the devices site and the one in Brittany that I'm not going to try and pronounce. I think we are off to France next year depending on the the outcome of BREXIT.

Yeah been to both ,But as we are only 2 miles from Longlete like many others we tend to travel further .I think our fav is Minehead.

Herman Hits the Road no we did NI a couple of years ago but no sites.. been watching “Charlie and me” here on you tube he is very informative also does a podcast. And could probably answer anything you would need to know about Ireland ..thanks for your NZ videos hope to go see my son in Wellington and rent a van in the future. X

Camping in NZ you'll love it. Freedom camping is the way to do it. They have that sorted over there. Most are not free though and you'll need some cash and change

@@HermanHitstheRoad - Yes, but someone is organizing it. And we are seeing a lot of videos organized in this way. People are giving away information about their lives and their movements. And that information is being collected.. And I think it is a bad idea because you can destroy the good camping sites if hordes of people go there after having watched these videos. I have just started watching your videos. And I like videos of people's daily lives. I don't like the top 10 or the top 5 videos much, and I hardly watch any of them. I would love to see more videos of your daily lives, of Herman and of your adventures. You seem to be a nice couple :-)
