Not alot going on guys. No marten again this year so just waiting for lynx season to open up and cutting some trail.

Nice to see ya back out Dave and great job on your out door furnace ! I don't have any marten traps set either and not going to , I had 100 boxes set for 4 weeks last season and only got 6 so with the way things are I'm going to be pretty reserved in what I plan to trap, pretty much beavers and dogs maybe a pinch of cat we shall see cheers buddy Chow for Now!

Hi Dave. Nice to see you are out and about. They are cutting out a lot of mature bush on Crown land down below as well. Have a good season.

Sorry to see them cutting your line, it only took 33 years in front of my camp after they clearcut to catch a marten again.

Well that not bad. I thoought I would have to wait till I was 100 before they started coming back. Cool now I only have to be 94. lol

Yep ,, even here in west Alberta , my registered line is getting butchered hard too . The goal I'm told is to eliminate the pine beadle infestation . It's sad for sure ....

They told us that here in the south too but they replanted more pines. There’s pines galore here and no hardwoods replacing any being taken out. It’s a nasty ugly sight to see all those pines with very very few hardwoods.

What used to be corn, cotton and soybean fields is now pines as well. I don’t see how a harvest that many years apart can equal the yearly harvests of row crops.

Nice to some trapping videos just about the end of deer season here in Michigans upper peninsula then we will be trapping more to good luck out there . How was your deer season Dave ?
