She's not going to last long unless you drop it some....you can here it coming out of the water so not deep enough to pump water properly.

trolling and steering is a real bitch with side mounted jack plate...I will try extending behind lower unit..

I steer mainly with the kicker and also with the sterndrive occasionally.

Bracket is mounted 3-5 inches too high.

How many HP is the tiny engine? What speeds do you get up to?

Hi, I think it's a 3.5 HP and gets the boat up to 3mph.

@@friendnfamily9053 that’s great. Thank you. I have a Bayliner 2655 which is a bit bigger and the same motor mount and a 1,8 KW electric outboard, should be about 5 HP equivalent . Hoping to get it up to 4-5 mph

Seems like the motor needs to go a little lower. Any kind of waves and it will be out of the water half the time.

How thick? 1/2 inch? And where do you buy it?

It sits in perfectly? It's a kicker not a main
