The Outdoor Research Deviator comes out this fall (Fall 2023). It is a lightweight and versatile stretch active insulation jacket. This is a teaser video on the looks and sizing. I'm in the Uk and it's very frustrating that OR doesn't ship to the UK. Unfortunately, it's not stocked by many retailers either, so it's not easy to find their kit here! Next time you are in touch you might like to encourage them to ship to the UK as I for one would buy much more of their gear. Thanks for posting the Artilect video recently as you've introduced me to that brand and I'll be buying some of their gear next week!

Hello friend across the pond! I will be happy to relay that message to OR. We are working on several other reviews for them and testing some gear up in Denali next month. @@Engearment I'll let you know how I get on with the jacket you reviewed. Enjoy the channel, and been back through many of your videos in the last week. Keep up the good work and nag the hell out of Outdoor Research as I had to order a Ferrosi Grid Fleece hoody from Germany last week, and god knows when anyone will import their latest offerings.

Nice review! I also jumped right away to the similarities with the Patagonia Nano Air Light Hybrid Jacket, which I have and love. This exterior on the front maybe a little more windproof? Hard to tell. Take care!

Hey Paul! Very similar in the way they both work. I have or writer Steven Starks doing additional testing on his adventures this spring, so we will have more feedback on the wind resistance (as well as more coverage from him!) Take care too!

@@PaulBeiser Me too! I want to rock this jacket without it being taught AF, LOL. Side note - we just had an Engearment Team meeting with Jay Irwin, James Terry, and Wil Rickards. Jay is going for the Guneiss world record on Denali next month. And raising awareness on kidney transplant success. Inspiring stuff! He is also doing reviews on several MSR and Outdoor Research gear too.

I would love to see the new Tungsten for 2023 (preferably in Women's version, but I'll take what I can get!) There was no Tungsten jacket available the last two years, but the press release shows it's making a return! I am learning how to ski, and that was the jacket I had originally wanted. Since it was unavailable I bought a Snowcrew. I may get the new Tungsten as a second jacket since Gore-tex is supposed to be the gold standard for wet conditions.

We will see what we can get ahold of. Hopefully the tungsten too. Goretex is guaranteed waterproof🙌. Stoked you are learning how to ski!
