Judges in WA have denied bail for people who got a DUI; thus judge should have denied bail for being a danger to society, he shot in a crowded mall at a group of people intending to murder someone and did; he fled the scene and tossed the murder weapon that police still haven’t found; crap the perpetrators mom had to do the LPD job for them and brought him into jail… Judge should have denied bail, it’s been done for far less things in WA; and it isn’t 500k they only have to put 10% down so he most likely was released from 50k

@krissywizzle10 күн бұрын
Usually you just need to put up 10% of the bail amount, so 50k would be 10% of 500k. I imagine they went to a bail bond, they put up the money for you. It's basically used as assurance you will show up to your court date, if you do the money gets refunded, if you don't then you owe the entire bail amount.
@madgreek25310 күн бұрын
You only need to pay 10% to be let out on bail, so 50k is 10% of 500k and more than likely the parents paid.

@user-zg1wz8fh8f10 күн бұрын
@@krissywizzle A person does not get the bond money back. The bail bond company keeps that. That is their compensation for taking the risk with the other 90% of the bail (in this case: $450,000 if the defendant doesn't show). If the defendant or those on his behalf paid the entire $500,000 bail directly to the court, they'd get all of that back when said defendant showed up for court. If they paid a bail bond company, they get nothing back. The bail bond company will get back the amount they put up on the defendant's behalf if he shows to court. Legally, no bail bond company is required to do this, so a defendant does need to put up 100% for the entirety of the bail if no bail bond company accepts the risk.
